Was on SQ959 on 25 Apr from Jakarta to Singapore. Jakarta airport uses color tag coding to control boarding priority. Blue for 1st, biz, PPS and Star Gold passengers. Next was those with Red tag which I was holding. That means I belong to the early group to board the economy sector. Happily I was looking forward to pick up the day's Straits Times (S$0.90 ea)but to my dismay the tray was left only with "My Paper" (given free on the streets). As a Singaporean I'm addicted to reading the... (read more)

SQ is a very good airline in the air - one of the best if not the best. But it is an appalling airline on the ground. Call centre staff, ground handling, Krisflyer staff etc. are all atrocious. If your journey goes well and you have no need to contact ground staff, call centres etc you should have no problems and enjoy the experience. If you need to contact a call centre or there is a problem you can expect rude, arrogant, ill-informed and wholly uninterested staff at every turn. (read more)

Lets be clear - it was an economy flight - so flying for 13 hours you are going to go get a bit of a sore bum and that is just the way it goes. In April 2012, I booked two return flights London/Sydney via Singapore. The plane was an Airbus 380. Initially I booked seats 44A (non-preferred seat) and 44B (preferred seat). Shortly afterwards, I received a phone call from the Indian call centre who insisted that 44A was also a preferred seat. I refused to pay and perused the seating plan once more. Seat 54A was clearly shown as a non-preferred seat and 54B a preferred seat. This time I made a SCREEN SHOT of the seat allocation plan as... (read more)

Our flight SQ 319 28 June 2012 London-Singapore. Due to very tight connection time and we have to move to different terminal, I forgot to take my camera bag with camera and camcoder from the upper compartment inside the airplane. I urge you to see what you wrote again...
"I forgot to take my camera bag..."
You also have not been clear of WHO took the memory cards... SIA staff? Or unknown person?
If it is SIA staff, then I am pretty sure they are willing to dig that staff out for return and further disciplinary actions.
If it is NOT SIA staff, what are you complaining? You forgot to take your camera bag and someone (not their staff) stole your items! And you expect the airline to pay for your own negligence?
Perhaps you wanna review your review again...
Written on: 05/10/2012
I left my bag inside the airplane. If you read SIA policy, anything left inside the airplane is the responsibilty of SIA. They found the bag and written everything they found in it in "Lost Items Found" receipt, including "32G MICRO SDHC MEMORY CARD". So they did receive the memory cards. But when I collected my items from "Lost and Found" Changi Airport, they could not return my memory cards. it's like they found your diamond, but only return you the diamond box.
Even the Singapore Police and SATS police Changi Airport investigation concluded one of the staff took it. But it's a pity they could not tell who was it since they do not have CCTV in that department.
As you said, I was pretty sure they will dig into this matter. But unfortunately I was totally wrong. Singapore Airlines is NOT A RESPONSIBLE airlines as we always thought.

I fly SQ regularly and there are two points in this review that need comment.
<br/>
<br/>1. Exit row seats. The criteria here is that only fit and able bodied people are permitted to sit in this row (in order to assist in the event of an emergency).
<br/>2. Discount/cheapest tickets for any airline typically do not accrue FF points. SQ makes this very clear in the online booking process.

This traveller should have done what everyone should do when they travel, arrange TRAVEL INSURANCE. If he (or she) had travel insurance then the insurance company would have paid for the business class seat their doctor advised. On two occasions over the past 20 years I have had to use business class for this reason and both times it was paid for by my travel insurance company. It is not the job of the airlines to provide medical insurance cover to their customers. They are an AIRLINE not an INSURANCE COMPANY. Travellers must take responsibility for their own health care. It is not acceptable to trash a company's reputation on ReviewCentre because the company refuses to take responsibility for your own irresposibility.

<br/>I have friends who have hypersensitive allergies - solution? they pack their own things such as food or clothing.

I can understand your frustration. They've a hopeless seat arrangement system. I wonder if they read these. Really going downhill. They also have an arrogant bunch of crew and pilots.
