“Rude”

Written on: 18/02/2014

Very rude flight attendants. I was suffering from food poisoning and didnt eat anything but I asked for water 3 times and I was gived one cup with very rude face. I even explained I am suffering from dehydration but when I asked for water again I got the rudest looks form the flight attendant. This is the second time I made a mistake of flying with Singapore Airlines… Read Full Review

“Poor scheduling, cancelled flights”

Written on: 15/01/2014 by SD74 (2 reviews written)

Travelling with Singapore airlines from December 2013 to January 2014 I have been shocked at the way they have been running their flights. All 4 have my flights have had scheduling changes. The first one from London to Singapore, months in advance and rescheduled so that I wouldnt be able to get my connecting flight. I ended up having to start my journey 3 days earlier that I originally planned. I am now sitting at an airport waiting for another flight that was cancelled at the time it was due… Read Full Review

“Worst Ground Customer Service in Sydney by Singapore...”

Written on: 22/12/2013 by hcl13 (1 review written)

SQ222, Sydney to Singapore Dec 17 2013. I encountered the worst ground customer services by Singapore Airline on this flight from Sydney to Singapore (SQ222) I was assigned a seat at check-in and on boarding, my seat was taken away and I was told that my seat had to be given to a family. As it is a full flight, I had to accept the newly re-assigned. I was told in a rude way that I either accept the newly assigned seat or leave the air-craft. This is a trip that I was looking forward to be… Read Full Review

“Clean and On-Time; watch out for silly credit card policy”

Written on: 20/11/2013

Flew SFO-SIN recently. No complaints whatsoever except for their silly policy of seeing the credit card with which you purchased the ticket. My card was stolen and they don't have a good system to deal with that. I brought a letter from the bank explaining the theft and I also brought my statement showing the charge. That eventually got me through. One piece of advice: if your card number gets stolen but you still have the physical card, DON'T CUT IT UP. Set it aside and take it with you on… Read Full Review

“Still a great way to fly”

Written on: 19/11/2013

I became a loyal customer of the airline a few years ago. I was supposed to travel from Paris to Barcelona using Air France and a few days later, to travel from Barcelona to Singapore using SIA. However, I was stranded in Paris because of a strike. I did not get any help from the Air France staff but the helpful SIA staff arranged for me a flight directly to Singapore. The airline has not failed me thus far, for their warm Asian hospitality combined with efficiency… Read Full Review

“SINGAPORE AIRLINES - TOILET MAINTENANCE ”

Written on: 23/10/2013

Singapore Airlines was and always will be the only airline I will be on, I thought, till my family and I had to use Japan Airlines as that was the flight provided to Hokkaido, Japan. The seats were oh so, softand comfy and so were the headrests. And was I amazed to see that the Economy Class toilet was exceptionally clean, the toilet seat was cute and white and so were the surroundings! There was so much room to stand in front of the full-length mirror and the faucet had a sensor without… Read Full Review

“Why save S$0.90 on The Straits Times?”

Written on: 26/04/2013

Was on SQ959 on 25 Apr from Jakarta to Singapore. Jakarta airport uses color tag coding to control boarding priority. Blue for 1st, biz, PPS and Star Gold passengers. Next was those with Red tag which I was holding. That means I belong to the early group to board the economy sector. Happily I was looking forward to pick up the day's Straits Times (S$0.90 ea)but to my dismay the tray was left only with "My Paper" (given free on the streets). As a Singaporean I'm addicted to reading the Straits… Read Full Review

“Good in Air Only”

Written on: 11/04/2013

SQ is a very good airline in the air - one of the best if not the best. But it is an appalling airline on the ground. Call centre staff, ground handling, Krisflyer staff etc. are all atrocious. If your journey goes well and you have no need to contact ground staff, call centres etc you should have no problems and enjoy the experience. If you need to contact a call centre or there is a problem you can expect rude, arrogant, ill-informed and wholly uninterested staff at every turn… Read Full Review

“World Worst Airline”

Written on: 04/04/2013

I sent in a feedback form about a poor service. Guess what! After their investigation, the crew painted a different picture. Instead of checking with me, SQ replied me with their own version and said case closed. I escalated as they are implying I'm lying! What an arrogant way to treat your customer. Super snobbish and lousy airline!… Read Full Review

“An excellent airline”

Written on: 24/02/2013 by wellings (1 review written)

I'm writing this because I can't believe the stupid things that some people write in their reviews and so put people off without good reason. We flew to Singapore from Heathrow recently and the service was great. Lets be clear - it was an economy flight - so flying for 13 hours you are going to go get a bit of a sore bum and that is just the way it goes. So to all those who criticise the seats and the legroom get real ! Or if you want better then I suggest you save up a lot of money and fly… Read Full Review

“got hit by foodt on board but they now say it never...”

Written on: 09/02/2013 by malisandro1 (1 review written)

I had an accident on board. The stewardess hit me with the food cart. I really got hurt. They then gave me an ice pack and then wrote an incident report, gave me a copy, but took it away again. Now say that the accident never happened. I would make it all up and might have hit my knee somewhere else. They say very much that I a a bit stupid. This is unbelievable, I am taking them to court now and then make sure my story goes around. Lying human garbage of Singapore Airlines. They also told me… Read Full Review

“Seat Allocation Chaos - Preferred Seat or Not?”

Written on: 30/11/2012

In April 2012, I booked two return flights London/Sydney via Singapore. The plane was an Airbus 380. Initially I booked seats 44A (non-preferred seat) and 44B (preferred seat). Shortly afterwards, I received a phone call from the Indian call centre who insisted that 44A was also a preferred seat. I refused to pay and perused the seating plan once more. Seat 54A was clearly shown as a non-preferred seat and 54B a preferred seat. This time I made a SCREEN SHOT of the seat allocation plan as… Read Full Review

“Horrible call centre staff. ”

Written on: 16/10/2012

Last Wednesday, I booked a return ticket for myself and my husband, for our upcoming trip to Hong Kong from this Thursday (18 Oct) to next Sat (27 Oct). As the seats for both segments were fully occupied, and the only ones left were the preferred seats, I immediately booked them. I didn't realise that I had to pay for those seats, so immediately called up their Customer Service Call Centre. My husband talked to a female call centre staff, she just kept on insisting on terms and conditions… Read Full Review

Why did you think they were called 'Preffered seats'? Did it not occur to you that there may be a reason they hadn't been booked?

I now know why they were called 'preferred seats', it is coz they were located next to the emergency exits. At the time of my booking, I didn't know. Also at that time I was afraid that there would be no seats for me and my husband, as they were all fully occupied.

“SINGAPORE AIRLINES TOOK MEMORY CARDS WITH HUNDREDS OF...”

Written on: 30/09/2012 by Margarethajulie (1 review written)

Our flight SQ 319 28 June 2012 London-Singapore. Due to very tight connection time and we have to move to different terminal, I forgot to take my camera bag with camera and camcoder from the upper compartment inside the airplane. When I collected it from the Lost and Found Dept, my memory cards inside the camera was stolen. We were so heart broken to know that someone has stolen our hundreds of precious family vacation photos across Europe for 3 weeks. Why would someone want to take memory… Read Full Review

I urge you to see what you wrote again...

"I forgot to take my camera bag..."

You also have not been clear of WHO took the memory cards... SIA staff? Or unknown person?

If it is SIA staff, then I am pretty sure they are willing to dig that staff out for return and further disciplinary actions.

If it is NOT SIA staff, what are you complaining? You forgot to take your camera bag and someone (not their staff) stole your items! And you expect the airline to pay for your own negligence?

Perhaps you wanna review your review again...

Margarethajulie's Response to Margarethajulie's Review

Written on: 05/10/2012

I left my bag inside the airplane. If you read SIA policy, anything left inside the airplane is the responsibilty of SIA. They found the bag and written everything they found in it in "Lost Items Found" receipt, including "32G MICRO SDHC MEMORY CARD". So they did receive the memory cards. But when I collected my items from "Lost and Found" Changi Airport, they could not return my memory cards. it's like they found your diamond, but only return you the diamond box.

Even the Singapore Police and SATS police Changi Airport investigation concluded one of the staff took it. But it's a pity they could not tell who was it since they do not have CCTV in that department.

As you said, I was pretty sure they will dig into this matter. But unfortunately I was totally wrong. Singapore Airlines is NOT A RESPONSIBLE airlines as we always thought.

“Would not recommend wish I had taken note of reviews”

Written on: 14/09/2012

We always fly BA but decided to book with SA to try out the new A380. There was just NO space at all. We are not by any strtch of the imagination large, my husband is slim and 6 ft and I am mid height and slim...but we were really cramped.

We fly from Heathrow to Singapore onto Oz and then the return route. It was just VERY uncomfortable. Seats were hard, no leg room and no width. On top of that service was very variable. At best okay at worse cool and you felt if you asked for something it was… Read Full Review

I agree with you. I took SQ with new A380 from Singapore - London and the economy class seats were horrible. Very very cramped, very less leg room, the seats were hard and could only recline a little, made it really hard to sleep on. This is terrible for 12 hours flight. Will never take Singapore Airlines anymore for long hour flight with A380

Dear Singapore Airlines, I am sitting in your lounge at the Jakarta airport where I'm being asked to leave by an extremely rude lounge attendant. I came into the lounge with 2 colleagues who just departed on your flight in business class. I'm told I have to leave because I do not have SQ boarding pass and it was a mistake to let me in.
