Pay a little extra for a Lake view and enjoy this wonderful hotel. The quality of rooms and service is excellent and you are always made to feel welcome. We ahve stayed at the Hollweger several times over the last 4 years and the quality has been excellent every time. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We stayed in the annex of Hotel Hollweger which we found delightful. The staff were very friendly, the food (we had both breakfast and evening meal) was excellent and the scenery superb. In the evening we often sat in the lounge and found it a pleasant way to round off the night. St Gilgen itself is a lovely village and we enjoyed the short walk from the hotel to there in the morning. Not really in the hotel's control but the weather sometimes very wet! Overall, a very fine holiday. We would return and this time would be a little bit more prepared for the climate. Anyone coming here should definitely take a trip around the lake - and try the hot chocolate with the golden rum in it served on board. Delicious! And very warming...
