I bought this hair straightener and used it minimally. One day, it just wouldn't stay turned on. I assumed it had to be fixable because I rarely used it. bought another one, same problem.piece of junk. It has an image of a lock in the light up area-I have no idea what this means. (read more)

This straightener has been my life saver! I got it for Christmas and I wasn't too thrilled about it because I have very thick curly hair and I have tried many other straighteners and they would take me two hours and my hair would still be wavy. So I wasn't completely sure how this straightener would be any different. But I was wrong! It takes me about 45 minutes to straighten and lasts all day, I know it says you can straighten your hair while its still damp but I'm not going to try it. But... (read more)

I've owned this straightner for about two years. I do not straighten my hair very often and also own a difrent one so the damage wasnt blamed on this crappy straightner. Last week i straighten my hair with this straightner and it ruined it. I normally have very long and healthy hair this piece of rubbish made it into hay. I used this straightener on wet/damp hair. I don't understand the name of this straightener. It does make you hair frome wet to straight but it burns your hair. Last night.I got it for christmas and I used it on the 27th of december and woke up the next morning and then I really noticed all of my split ends. I was scared this mightve happend so I basically used all of my protectant. Ir works well on dry hair just not wet!!! (read more)

i got this straightener a about two years ago. Ive been using it without realizing that it RUINS your hair. i got a new Sesu revolution and my hair feels so much softer and ther is 90x less damage on my hair than when i used this piece of junk. It snags my hair whenever i used it and my ends looked awful. If youre going to buy a hair straightener SPLURGE and get a good expensive one. Bought this & though very happy with the results on my hair it it developed electrical fault after 3 mths and became dangerous to use. Returned it & got replacement assuming the fault was a one off . Unfortunately happened again but this time managed 4 mths before it stopped working. Was offered same again as replacement but I'm going to try another brand now after years of using Remington products. (read more)

After having this straightener for a couple of months.......i absolutely LOVE it. These are absolutely cr*p. I got loads of spilt ends, when using the wet mode, and it takes far more time than drying first, and then straightening. It's really weird because on my friends hair, the results are really good, and her hair is sleek and shiny, however whe. used on my hair it took me ages and hair was still very damp and curly afterwards. The dry setting of these, however is the opposite. My hair is sleek ish an straight enough, but nothing special. Don't buy. (read more)

After using these I would not recommend anybody tries to straighten their hair whilst wet with any straightners - I have used these 2 or 3 times and since then the condition of my hair has been terrible it looks singed and burnt even on the shortest parts of my hair. (read more)

I've owned this straightener for less than a year and it literally just blew up in my hand tonight. I was in the process of a swipe on my hair and the power cord literally busted off for no reason and sparks flew out the end of it. I'm lucky I didn't singe any hair off. (read more)

Having been bought Remington's Wet 2 Straight Straightener for a birthday present over a year ago, I can still say how impressed I have been by this straightener, it takes around 30 secs to heat up to average 200 degrees and has a lock function so you can't accidentally change the heat setting. Having rather thick, coarse and frizzy hair it takes my 'mane' and flattens it within the first stroke from dry hair and leaves it silky, shiny and pin straight until I next come to wash it which is... Oh My gosh!!! I never actually thought this straightner would be so AMAZING...
It leaves your hair silky and smooth from wet in minutes. I am so happy I mean, I HATE blowdrying,,, so this is huge Deal to me. This product is amazing! It is fast to heat up, can be used on wet or dry hair, is very simple to use and is better than the wet to straight straighteners my hair stylist uses! I like the free heat-proof bag too- although I was wary that it might not work, it surprised me and now I can style my hair and pack my straighteners away without worrying about whether they will mark anything. READ THIS! This straightener works GREAT on thick hair and there are so many settings for every type of hair! I don't like using the straightener on wet hair though because hair is at it's weakest point when wet. I love this straightener because of the the look and feel of my hair. WOW!
This straightener is truly a miracle worker. It makes my thick and kind of straight hair PIN STRAIGHT. My hair is healthy, kind of poofy though (due to the thickness) and I have a whole lot of it. It's long, nothing more and nothing less. I was ecstatic with the results this flat iron gave me and I couldn't stop looking in the mirror. I felt like Narcissus for a while, hah! It felt pretty good to be honest!
Not only did it make hair pin straight but it also left my hair very moisturized...

I bought it at Walgreens and wasn't sure how it would last. But it was my first straightener and I love it. I don't blow dry my hair anymore because it leaves it silky smooth. I have gotten burned by the steam though. Always face the holes away from your face. The indications about the heat settings were dead on too. Dry hair doesn't need more than ten. Ever. I would recommend it to everybody. Maybe the thicker one rather than the 1inch but it works great either way. (read more)

I've had this straightener for 4 months and it is great! It straightens wet hair and drys your hair at the same time. I would suggest it to anyone. The only problem I've had with it is my power button doesn't work anymore. My sister also has one and it's worked for years. It probably just has a default. Bought these as a last ditch attempt to try and tame my thick curly unruly hair. The result is just fantastic, my hair is slick, shiny and to be honest doesn't look like it belongs to me. When I used to blow wave it and then straighten it was straight but bushy. Now its flat to my head and has movement. The best part, after using it for a month, left my hair to dry naturally and it is NOT as curly. It has a beach babe wave now rather than curls, which for me is a fantastic result. ... (read more)

I really love the wet2straight straightener. it works pretty fast and gets the job done. Ive dropped it numerous times and its still working just fine. The only down side is it leaves my hair with a burny kind of smell. But it goes away. If you have color treated hair don;t use this. It makes your hair look super frizzled, dry and damaged. Do NOT use these straighteners if your hair is even slightly fragile, I used them once on mine, thankfully only on one side but my hair has been completely ruined, it's all burnt out beyond repair. I had it on the lowest reccomended temp and used it on towel dried hair... It is absolutely awful. I'm now going to have to cut off all my beautiful hair because it has been so damamged... This product is large and cumbersome. Does not sit with ease in hand while styling. Furthermore the temperature and other condtrols are right were you need to hold the product thus interfering with the controls (I found I was constantly turning it off and on/up and down. In addition the Wet/Strait doesn't work unless your hair is already fairly strait. This product stinks...took mine back after 3 attempts. (read more)

If you were to actually bother to read the instructions that come with the straightener, there is a function that they made so that once your temperature is set and you start straightening your hair you cannot change the temperature or turn them off, magical.....

My hair is very very thick and long. This straightener dries my hair quicker than it normally takes me to use a hair dryer and i get the added bonus of the straightener. My hair feels and looks really soft and shiny after using it.
Do you hair in sections to dry it as it will give you a better finish! It might hurt your hand after you use it for the first few goes but as you get used to it, the process will get easier and take less time.

My hair is very long as is often very difficult to straighten as it gets frizzy very easily due to a bad perm I had a few years ago. I only recently bought the wet 2 straight product and the results have been phenomenal. My hair does not look like mine! It is completely frizz free and the shine has improved 100%. Only had these a few weeks, used once on my mums hair, which is highlighted. Worked pretty well but left it with a lot of fly aways/looked very static. Had to pile on products after to keep it down.
Then used on my hair when it was wet, my hair is coloured and I would DEFINATLY NOT reccommend for people with coloured hair. My hair looked frazzled afterwards! It makes sense not to straighten wet hair really, but they shouldn't be advertising this feature if it simply doesnt work. Also it does...

I bought this product almost two years ago and I have to say that I am very satisfied with it. I do not think that the product should be titled "Wet 2 Straight" just because it does a horrible job when you straighten your wet hair. Other than that it works really well. The plates are still in perfect shape, I've dropped it several times and I use it at least 6 days of the week. Of course, I do get split ends, but a little trim fixes the problem. I recommend remington wet 2 straight straightner, but using it only on dry hair. I tried using it with my wet hair, but I did not like the way my hair looked. I then tried this product on the highest setting on my long thick wavy hair and I actually thought it left my hair straighter than the chi flat iron. I found this review very helpful because... I did try it and it leaves your hair shiny. Besides you shouldnt EVER straighten ur hair when its wet but it works awsomely on dry hair! I should have bought this instead of some $80 one that broke after a year.

wow even though i have only had my remington wet2straight for a month i use it and it heats up really quick and i love it because i have think curly hair and it makes straightning it so easy. i have had other brands before this and they work good but it used to take and hour and a half and i had to use 2 straightners. But now with this wet2straight straightner I only have to use one and it takes only about 45 minutes. (read more)

I have had my straightner for over a year. It worked great for the first year then started 2 stink really really bad. My dollar store straightner worked better than my remingtion wet to straight. I loved it but it has defintaly fallen flat. It is sad that a dollar store straightner does better than a remingtion.
