within a year and half, bottom door hinge has broken,,,get told they can fix for £104 or 10 payments of 16.99 for a hinge,,,,,the 3 years parts cover is totally useless as you have to use them
much better to get cheap beco(under 200) and buy a new one when gone

The Hotpoint DWF70 is the third Hotpoint we have had in our family circle and all the machines failed with the casing. One after 18 months, one after 30 months, one after 4.5 years.
Regarding the DWF70, the controls are complicated to use.
The stainless steel casing leaked after 4.5 years.
The lower door seal accumulated dirt.
All electronic boards replaced after 11 months including water heater.
The machine had only general usage of once a day at most.
My family is now united that we will not ...

They should have stuck with the re-badge Bosch. Had one for twenty years thats why we bought this one. Never again.
Does not wash properly and dishes sometimes come out all gritting
Gone wrong so many times now the door is falling off. using duck tape to keep the door shut.

If you can sort out the things that go wrong yourself.
Like the pumps, filters and the anti flood valve then great.
Otherwise go direct to domestic and general and buy a 5 year warranty, and they will fix it again and again.

I was very pleased with my Hotpoint DWF70, the setting can be confusing and if done incorrectly can cause errors but otherwise very happy with it.

Waste of money - much better off spending less money on dishwasher without the high spec low tech electronics. After sales equally as bad.

I have now owned this Hotpoint DWF70 Dishwasher for 15 months and have had constant poor cleaning results and three faults. The programmer locked up, heater burnt out and wash pump failed. We are also on our third cutlery basket as the handle keeps breaking.
It frequently requests a filter clean although it is not clogged up.
If the lower tray is not stacked exactly right - the cutlery basket can only go in one position - the soap powder is not washed from the dispenser and the whole lot needs ...

The Hotpoint DWF70 Dishwasher developed a fault after approximately six months and was repaired five times over a period of six months, the item still doesn't work. Strongly advise people against considering a Hotpoint dishwasher and definitely do not buy one from Comet - the service is appalling!

I have owned two of these. The first DWF70 developed a fault and stopped working after four weeks I waited several months for a replacement and that has just developed the same fault after three months! In between when it was working to gave a very poor was performance.

We have owned Hotpoint DWF70 for 3 months and it has constantly disappointed with its poor performance. Our previous dishwasher a Bendix was far superior.
