    Good Points: Cheap, Works with most discs, Quiet operation.


    Bad Points: None.


    General comments: At £59 from the computer shop the BTC 1008 has to be a bargain. It is an 8x(+R),4x(-R),4x(-RW) recorder that also does cd-r at 40x and cd-rw at 24x. It also reads dvd rom at 12x. It burns onto most media, in fact I have yet to find media it won't burn to. It even writes to the cheap rubbish Princo media. I believe it is also marketed under the Emprex label that are now available for £49.99 at PC World. Buy one now you will not be dissapointed . My son was so impressed with mine he went and bought one and dumped his old NEC 1100a.
