Good Points: Friendly staff (they had to be really)
Reasonable location for proximity to beach (not that great either) /supermarket/ restaurants/ bars
    Adequate storage space
Clean sheets and towels every three days
    Bins emptied daily
    Safe in reception

    Bad Points: Bugs
    Inadequate air conditioning
    Tired decor and furniture
    Car boot style kitchen utensils
    DNA building up in corners
    Damp smell in kitchen
    Lack of privacy in rooms
Record breaking joke of a pool

General comments: We have stayed in self catering accommodation on a number of Greek islands for the same cost and this was by far the worst. The apartments at Anerada are arranged in separate blocks. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment over looking the main road. The apartment was fitted out basically, in the living room furniture was tired and grubby with twenty years self catering experience under its belt. The kitchen had a curious damp smell, was again basically fitted with an odd collection of mismatched kitchen utensils made up of Greek hand-me-downs probably picked up from car boot sales. When I went to use one sauce pan the boiled water turned grey, only ever made sandwiches from then on. The bathroom was adequate except the sink taps only tricked out water. We grew to love our ants nest that had residence in the bathroom door frame, the trail of the little critters led into the bedroom, behind our sleeping heads, through a gap in the balcony doors and on down to the supermarket below. The bedroom consisted of tough twin beds (clean cotton sheets every three days) plenty of cupboard space and a small wall fitted air-con unit. Turned out that this air-con unit at £50.00 for two weeks was only adequate enough to cool the bedroom. Every few days the cleaner would chuck a hairy mop over the floors slowly building up the grime in the corners, our DNA must be all over Paphos by now. Friendly staff, so friendly they seemed to believe that they had access to your room at any time of the day. Even if the room was double locked with the key in it they could gain entry - fast. Imagine the scene - We hear a noise, I stand up and grab the cotton sheet around my waste, the bedroom door bursts open and there stands the cleaner with the maintenance guy behind her carrying a light bulb. - "Oh sorry, you sleeping" she says whist giving me the once over. I mean, what's one to do? General decor was dated with patchy areas of maintenance, laziness in the extreme. We discovered that some of the apartments in our block were let-out to permanent Greek residents, an indication of the way things are going. Outside in the grounds Anerada has the dubious honour of having the smallest, unkempt pool in Cyprus - "Yes, it's a record breaker". You to can add your name to ours at the bottom, no charge. Shack of a pool bar with a collection of tables & chairs and a sad looking pool table, I was always surprised to see people using this area - must be the bulldog sprit. Young Greek barman had a habit of saying "bar rumba" all the time and dancing the 'cha cha slide' to perfection. - 'turn around, now back two steps - everybody scream'. Overall the whole complex needs a revamp, a large cheque thrown at it. Surely an embarrassment to the tour company.

Oh dear where to begin! Our holiday was booked in Feb 04 to attend a wedding in the resort in Aug.
Whilst accepting that in August a budget holiday was all that could be afforded we were very very disappointed with the Anerada Apartments. Whilst the rooms are large and fairly clean, they are basic in the extreme. Yes there was air/con, but it was in the bedroom only and must have been taken from the Tomb of the Kings as it was truly a relic, strange when the reception had given us a latest mode ...

On arrival at the Anerada apartments we were dropped outside by a rude taxi driver and left to find our own way to the Reception area late at night.

There are no lifts and plenty of stairs

Although the main living area was large, the 2nd room was small and very hot. The air conditioning is costly and not effective; you also have to pay for the use of fans, which also are ineffective

The fridge was dirty, the place is crawling in ants, the furniture was old and flea ridden and the apart ...

Paphos, Anerada Apartments - The pool was dirty, we had to cross the road and use the pool in the neighbouring hotel's, the Veronica was lovely! The rooms were basic, but clean, I suppose, although I did have a cockroach in my underwear drawer for about a week until an friend and I managed to track it down and catch it in a glass. The staff, i.e., the cleaners, were unhelpful, didn't speak a word of English and didn't mind walking in any time of the day. The maintenance were useless, the fans we ...

I was extremely disappointed with the level of accommodation at the Anerada Apartments in Paphos. Very small swimming pool (e.g.6m x 4m) for the number of apartments (36 approx). There was a pretty big garden where a larger swimming pool could have been built. There were only 24 sunbeds too, not all of which were in good condition. Thank goodness for all the 4 star hotels aroundabout which you can just wander into and use the facilities!!!! The apartment was very small with no drawers to put you ...
