    was very disappointed with the code share agreement of malaysian airlines with klm....their check in staff at amsterdam are the most obnoxious i have ever had to deal with in 35 years of being a frequent flyer...though the flight to kl was empty they refused even a few kilos overage and forced us to unpack and repack 3x before they accepted the baggage for flight ...
    .they made us send our luggage as unaccompanied baggage which became a wicked hell to retrieve from customs officials in malaysia who demanded an agent must clear a passengers used clothing and dirty laundry for 150RM for a malay agent or 250RM if you use a chinese agent..... we only wanted our own used clothes bought in malaysia returned to us and were there in person to make the appropriate customs declarations and clear malaysian customs. The customs official and his customs officer refused to give us a customs declaration form and demanded we call our unaccompanied baggage ....goods for importation even though there is a clear procedure all over the world for unaccompanied baggage of returning passengers who are residents or citizens...there are no taxes or levies on such items and said so in the customs regulations and as everywhere in the world you may clear your returning baggage yourself.... However here in malaysia we were being forced to be fleeced if we wanted our personal belongings..

    So in short flying KLM was a two time DISASTER...i hate them intimidating us to pay them to clear non-taxable goods in malaysia. The official was not only rude and refused assistance he told us he didn't care... we can write to Najib (the Prime Minister) if we want...he should lose his job for this performance...he further used those minding the entry and exit points of the customs clearing facility to intimidate us ...it is highly irregular behaviour of the custom officials power. I am rating KLM/Malaysian Airlines code share flight service and the Malaysian Airport Unaccompanied Baggage Custom Clearing Officials at Cargo and their Procedures.

    KLM, once the pride of the Netherland is now more and more an overprices easyjet. We had a flight to Bankok with a Boeing 74E and thats a plane belonging in a museum. Very narrow seats and some central screens for entertainment. So 1970's! on that screen they showed a program how to use the entertainmentprogram and this was excualy about a modern entertainmentprogrem that you will get on new planes. How sarcastic!     How I wish I had read this reveiw site before booking with KLM. Right from the moment of booking the return flight LHR-AMS-JNB, this has been a disaster! The supposed seat reservation, 30 hours before the flight would not allow me to book the second leg and the facility for extra baggage was denied.     Food is not too bad. Once, I had 2 bread rolls with a filling of goats cheese, jam and wait for it, chocolate buttons - see what I mean about being at school. Surprisingly though, it was quite nice, mind you I was starving which might have had something to do with it!

    Flown with KLM 3 times since July 08 to the Middle East. The staff are a bit mean and treat you as if you are part a class of naughty students, but, we are after all, in the year 2009 where nobody treats anyone with respect anymo ...

    A huge letdown by KLM
    I was to take off on sunday 8-Marc-09 from leeds Bradford airport, only to reach there and be told there were technical faults with plane which is being sorted out.

    Scary isn't it when your about to fly. checked in and paid for extra luggage, then turned out that we couldn't fly on the day. paid our taxi fare back home to fly next day

    I traveled to & from Europe with KLM from Vancouver, Canada via Amsterdam & Rome & back again and the entire trip was excellent. I can't say enough about the flight,service,food & the staff. After flying 10 hours 1 way & 12 1/2 the other with a layover in Amsterdam everything was top notch. I've flown extensively in North America & wish these carriers (N.A.) were nearly as good as KLM. Thanks Big Time KLM.

    Good points with KLM, Reliability, great frequent flyer programm. Prefer to pay a bit more and fly KLM instead of low cost airliners.

    I fly often to Manila with KLM and find staff polite and food very good. the worst part is Amsterdam Airport where I change flights to Philippines where you are treated like second class citizens by some staff.
    KLM has allways been my airline of choice and like the 777 a comfortable plane.

    MNL-AMS-MNL (economy 777-200 & 300). Their internet website was user-friendly and offers quite a good value from Asia to Europe with good connecting flights to European countries. The aircraft was not new but generally clean. The flight was generally on time. Seat/space was good. Entertainment system average as they don't offer recent release movies. Have mixed review for the flight attendants as some were not so friendly while others were very accommodating. The food was poor I was still ...

    I've flown KLM more times than I can count. They are my normal choice for all trans-atlantic flights. They are friendly, service is great, food is pretty good, non-stop drinks. Amsterdam airport is one of my favourites, it's bright, clean and really easy to find your way around. The few times I've ran into cancellations or delays, they have promptly helped out and given their booklet of goodies, inc 5-min phone card, discount on food and drinks at the airport, etc. Flights are almost always earl ...

    Have flown with them twice to Boston from Manchester. I have found no really big problems with them. The check in was good the connecting flight was good the first time I was even surprised to find that they could find time to serve food.
    Getting to the next flight was good the flight over was good the entertainment was good. On the second time on the way back had a delay due to the auxiliary power unit failing on main engine start up so was very happy that such vital system was checked before ...

    I Have flown many times with KLM, short flights from Humberside to Amsterdam and longer flights to Dubai. The nice thing about KLM is, even on very short flights you are provided with decent food and beverages. In fact on a recent 45 minute hop from Humberside to Amsterdam, the stewardess provided me with 3 beers! I had to ask of course but not one complaint or whinge, they couldn't do enough.

    I flew KLM many times during the past year and in fact almost getting to be a gold member in their program. My experiences (and they are many) were very positive almost all the time. Out of all my flights across Europe/Canada and Egypt, the plances were on time at more than 95% of the time. I loved the fact that everyone tries to help you, the TV screen for each person is also nice.

    I think the flying blue program was very good and I enjoyed many rewards so far.

    Have had the misfortune to fly with KLM a number of times. They have to be the worst airline in Europe. It's hard to imagine a nation as modern and efficient as the Dutch are not utterly ashamed to have such a carrier as their national airline.Last trip was a long haul from San Francisco to London via Amsterdam.     If you fly with KLM and have not made your checkin via the Internet, prepare for a 3rd World country type of nightmare at Schiphol Airport.
    Be advised, if you are on holidays in the Netherlands you better find one Hotel with Internet access and a printer service to get your Boarding Pass, don't forget to add the Hotel Internet access cost to the final cost of your KLM ticket !

    Since last year I flew from Manchester uk to New York usa about 2-3 times a year. This has to be the worse airline I ever flown with for that route. I took it because I felt the quality would outweigh the extra time I spent travelling. Boy was I wrong. The 747 was old style and cramped. The staff onboard reminded me of my old army cook who just tossed the trays to the coach passengers and gave a look like "why are you too greedy to buy first class".

    I booked a flight with KLM to return home as my grandfather was ill and he had suddenly taken a turn for the worse. KLM have been no help whatsoever. I tried at the time to get the flight changed they wouldn't let me, and would not offer any advice. I then had to go and book another flight with BA (who were amazing).
    Since I have been home I have been in the hospital all the time, I have tried to cancel my flight, I'm not asking for money I just want it cancelled and each time I hit a brick wall ...

    Everything else in business class was "low rent" This (MD11) must be the only remaining mechanical seat in business class. They had run out of cheese by Row 2. The wines were all cheap and from Chile - nothing French despite being owned by Air France - and so on and so on.

    Helpful staff member in T2, when we arrived too late to get our connecting flight from Amsterdam. No warning when booking or from Cardiff Airport when we arrived, that 50 minutes that we had was the minimum to get the connecting flight, while it was on the folder of our return ticket.
