The Shanghai QB36-1 (XS36-1) is, apparently, a shorter 'carbine' version of the XS36-2. Fair enough, I've never fired a 36-2 but have fired enough air rifles over the years to say that this is a perfectly reasonable rifle for what you pay. If you want something which will go through the eye of a needle at half a mile then go spend loads of cash on something else, if you want something that packs a punch, looks good, is functional and doesnt cost the earth then go for something along these lines, ...- Read mattockswinga's review (141 words)

The Shanghai QB-36-1 rifle has a nice wooden stock, which makes it pleasant to lift and aim. Unfortunately, that's the only good thing I can say about it. It is very inaccurate (even at 7 yards), lacks power, does not function properly (after cocking the lever, the trigger does not always hook up) and the sights are very crude and poor. Do not wasted your money on this one: even if it seems cheap, you get LESS than what you paid for.- Read Cedrics007's review (97 words)

My Shanghai QB36-1 Air Rifle broke after only 1 month, they would not honour the warranty because I purchased it elsewhere. It felt nice, seemed accurate but now its just a bunndle of parts with a nice buttplate.- Read riverdave's review (123 words)

I bought 2 Shanghai QB36-1's. One has a crack in the stock the other has a hole in the stock where a knot has fallen out. One gun shoots good the other I would do better using a slingshot, these guns are a big disappointment. Do your reading before you buy. There is no factory outlet to return these guns, you must call China to get any satisfaction and if you're the consumer retailer or small time wholesaler, forget it your better off buying a gun with an American support center.
Don't get me ...- Read ratite's review (220 words)
