Independent Stage 9 Trucks...well, here's the thing...Alot of people say that Indy's are really heavy and that they weigh you down, so that you should buy lighter trucks; such as Royal and Thunder...well my friend bought Royal 4.0's? He ground them down to the point where he had negative clearance on his kingpin...in 2 months. Thunders...they turn too easily because the standard bushings are insanely soft, therefore they split pretty fast. I've only had two pairs of Indy's but that was... (read more)

I just got these in 139's. Fit my 8" board perfectly, ive skated on them for a couple days and they're barely grinded down. Not that heavy at all, i can do all of my flip tricks and still skate the bowls amazing to. Ive skated indys since the 1st day i started skating and i have no regrets. These trucks are literally "Built to Grind." Indy for Life (read more)

Indys are wild!! been using my stage 9s for 7+ years now! its the only thing thats really constant on my board, i've had 4 decks, 2 wheel changes, 3 bearing changes... and those indys still work like new!! havent changed the independent hard bushings i got with them either. Indies Stage 9 Lows are the lightest trucks I've had, idk how ppl call em heavy, i've skater heavier ones but that doesnt rele affect my tricks that much, Grinds are smooth, only flaw i can think of is that the orange bushings were too lose for me, but i replaced them with the ones on my old trucks so no big deal, go ride Indies :D (read more)

I've ridden many different types of trucks over the years, and have ridden Independent Stage 9's for a fair amount of time. However, what needs to be pointed out is that their weight is a disadvantage, especially for technical street skating. I wouldn't take too much notice of their marketing spiel either (F#@"! the rest / Built to Grind etc.), it's misleading - get the trucks that suit you, your style of skating and the terrain you're going to be riding. First of all I weigh 235 lbs... Am 36.... Been skating for years... Indys are the real deal. Made the mistake of buying Grind Kings a few years ago... New stage x have a stronger baseplate. They still have different choice between low and high(standard). This trucks are build to grind since 1978. The only problem is with the standard bushings because I'm heavyweight so I replace it with hard one and now they are perfect!!! (read more)

What can i say that hasnt already been said. Been Skating for 20 years and started off in Indys. Tried practically every truck company from Gullwing (silver shadows), furys, tracker, royal, tensor...you get the picture....
I have always ended up back on Indys. Nothing beats the feel they give you when skating any terrain whether it is bowls, ramps or street. Simply the best trucks on the market and i have never snapped a set but i have on most of the other companies. If you want a truck that... (read more)

The independent stage 9 low skateboard trucks are the best i have ridden. I know to always buy them when i need new trucks. A lot of people are saying they are heavy or something else which i think is false and shouldn't matter. People think that there skateboard has a lot to do with how well they skate and it doesn't really matter. I have been on many different skateboards and my ollie and flip tricks have always been the same. BUY INDYS. (read more)

What's to say? I think that insane turning is a definite plus. Independent Stage 9 Skateboard Trucks are crazy durable, which is totally necessary for anyone who wants to kill spots. Parts are really easily replaced as well. Hardware and bushings are easy to find, (as long as you have a good skate shop nearby, that is.) And if, (somehow) your kingpin breaks, you can pick another one of those up too. Not to mention pivot cups. Ride the best for life! (read more)

Independent trucks. Ride the best, they're hot as anything. Require no other. The Independent Truck company always means the best quality. It's the company that has skaters in mind, the company that knows what skaters want, and exactly how to give it to them. The stage 9 trucks still feature the Independent quick action geometry as seen on previous models, but are made with pure 4400 Chrome, making them lighter, stronger, and better. Nothing else compares.

The Independent Stage 9 are the best trucks you can get, no multi colored hangers, no designs, no gimmicks. Independent is a straight up truck company thats been around since day 1, and when posers say they're heavy, dont listen. Just because they're heavier than most trucks isn't an excuse to why you can't land your varial flips. (read more)

Written on: 03/01/2006 by danmroe (11 reviews written)

The Independent Stage 9 are just the best. They are only around £40-£45. I love them. Being built to grind is true because they will never let you down with a grind. It is harder to bail, they grind well, and it is possible to switch grinds with them! Now everyone else said these were going to be heavy, but they are suprisingly light! And they last for years and years. I love these trucks. You should to. So I suggest you buy a pair of these now!

I love these trucks, i bought a pair and they lasted me forever and ever. The only thing that i have to say thats negative towards these trucks is the bushings are really soft and don't last like the trucks. I just bought a pair of doh dohs mediums and i haven't had a problem since. These trucks are so amazing at grinds and turns. You would think that for something this good you would have to pay a lot, but these trucks are 34 dollars to 45 dollars, so i recommend them to anyone, beginner or expert. 10 outta 10

I skate Independent Stage 9's and they hold up well to grinding and other stuff but they are EXTREMELY heavy which makes it very hard to ollie. I reccomend getting a board with lots of pop like a FLIP to compensate for their weight. If you want a lighter truck try Venture Superlight 5.0. (read more)

Okay, I got these Independent Stage 9 skateboard trucks a couple of days ago because a pro had recomended them to me. They were a bit pricey at £56 but anyway these trucks are supposed to be really good, however the ones I got must be defective or something, the turn and the bottom bushings pop out and then dont turn back, they dont go tight and even when the bushings are in place they are always at a tilt. If these are the best then whats the worst like. (read more)

You can choose all different colours of these Independent Stage 9. They make red, black, Crome and black, and the original chromes. There are by far some of the best trucks ever made. There lighter, faster reacting, and just as stable as the old stage 8's and 7's. In short if u don't want to waist your money and u want long lasting trucks gets some Indies u will never go back!
