Good Points: Excellent all round performance with good sound looks good, esp at night easy to fit
Bad Points: 1) - it wasn't too happy with one RW media type 2) - random play of mp3's is restricted to the current folder i.e. it will not play randomly across all folders on CD.
General comments: Had the Kenwood KDC-M4524G CD/MP3 receiver for about 1 year now. No problems with it. Plays everything CD/CDR/CD-RW(had some jitters with one mp3 cd-rw). Plays all bitrates, including VBR.
Make sure your mp3's have all their ID tags written and it will display track/artist/album as it plays.
Burn your audio CD's with CD Text and it will display that too.
A great little machine, the two larger facia controls give bright blue light and all others can be turned to green or red.
Currently selling on-line for £114-GBP (Feb 2004) but I paid £140 GBP a year ago.
My "bad points" listed were not really significant to enjoyment of this player.

Having previously had a Clio MTV (which met an unfortunate end) I just had to get a good cd player to match! This one definately is very good, and certainly does the job! The track display (which appears for some CD's telling you the name of the track) is very cool and certainly adds to the quality!! Having a cd player seems essential in a car these ...
