Booked for a birthday party, we pre-booked starters and mains to find that some were not available on arrival even after booking a week in advance and after reordering being served burned bland food well of the mark, slow dull service no manners wont be going back in a hurry, shame because the drinks at the bar were very nice.

Lively party atmosphere and all cocktails are really nice!
I suggest mex platter if you want to taste a bit of everything mexican!
As I am a regular I have to say their food and service is
improving day by day and is one of the best in the area. We tried pizza hut and frankie and bennie down the road but we will never go back there. Yes sometimes there are extremely busy and service gets really slow but this happens everywhere. If that's the case I wouldn't go for food on busy nights but weekda ...

First time here & the last.
Cold chips / tortillas were stale & slimy. Duck meat & beef tasted the same & we were stringy. ( Ive spent alot of time in Mexico ~ they would be ashamed to serve this c**p )
I complained about the cold chips & they were taken away. On return they tasted like they had been refryed & the meat was now cold
Ribs & chicken were coated in a very sticky acidy goo ~this left me with indegestion for hours !!
If you like fast food gooy rubbish & you arent concerned about ta ...

Last night I went to the new Chiquito's that has opened in Chelmsford, and I would love to know how the chef managed to take some delicious ingredients, such as spicy chicken, sour cream, guacamole and cheese and completely suck all the flavor out of them, it's a real skill and it only took him 1hr and 15mins to do it which was lucky as it gave me time get over the mind blowing shiteness of the starter. I'd had a hard day at work and luckily I was completely in the mood for something bland, stod ...

Having eaten at Chiquitos many times before, i was expecting a nice meal. Far from it! They 1st brought the wrong order out, then when they brought the right order out the starters were not with it , so we ended up eating the starter after we finished our meal. absolute joke !! never go again!!

So excited to see a new Mexican restaurant in Stockton Chiquitos couldn't wait to go. When I finally went to eat there I was so disappointed, what a letdown. The service was really slow and the food was not good at all. Thought I'd give them another chance as they had only just opened and finding their feet, but again a couple months later the food was not good but the service was a lot better and I'm sure I heard the microwave bell go off constantly in the kitchen. I recently visited Cheshire ...

    A total shambles.

We were seated for 25 minutes before we were able to place our order, and then only by waving the waiter down. A bottle of wine, representing half of the drinks order, was delivered 20 minutes later but without glasses, for which we waited a further 10 minutes before going to look for the manager. So to sum up that's 55 minutes before we could even have a drink!

After the main course plates were cleared we sat chatting for another hour or more during which time no-one cam ...

I have just returned from a very dissapointing experience at Chiquitos. We called in advance (on a Sunday afternoon) to see if we needed to make a reservation. The woman on the phone said they weren't taking bookings past 7pm but if we turned up there would be plenty of seating available.
When we arrived at 7:30pm we were told there was a minimum 45 min wait, I told the woman at the greeting desk that I had called beforehand and relayed the information I was provided with earlier, she replied 'o ...

Went to Chiquitos in Stockton as we were going to the cinema, pre booked the table and when we got to the restaurant they had lost the booking, booked for 7.30 and by 9.30 we were still waiting for our main course, it came at 9.45pm and we had to be at the cinema at 10.05pm
Guess what the food was cold !!!

They advised they would zero the bill - never again

My favourite restaurant of all time!I go to a branch in Gateshead and it's easy to point out how carefully selected their staff are! They're so polite and they fuss over every customer! There is a short waiting time for food and their recipes are just fantastic! I'm a huge fan of Mexican food, espeically Chiquitos!

We booked a table for our son's 18th Birthday at Chiquitos in January 2009. When we arrived and were seated the waiter proceeded to tell us that they'd had a very busy lunch time and that there were dishes that were unavailable. These included steak, chicken and ribs along with many others and also various deserts. We asked why as they had taken a contact number they could not have contacted us to tell us this and we would have gone somewhere else. The food which we did have was just about o ...

Staff at Chiquitos polite and decent service.
There was nobody around when we arrived and had to wait to be seated so much so we nearly walked out.My husbands meal didnt look appetising and neither did my side dish!

Bright, lively place, looked clean and polite staff. Not for vegetarians, the veg chilli just taste like a can of veg chilli you can buy at Morrisons, some items were only warm that should have been hot. I should have stuck to Pizza Hut! I would not ever go again, even if it were a free meal.

I have been going to Chiquito resturant in Dagenham and Leciester Square for more then 3 years. When I first use to go to the Dagenham Chiquito in 2003, 2004, 2005 it was all great. During those years the service, food and drinks were all very good and well worth your money. By the time 2008 came it all changed the food and the service in Dagenham Chiquito is not that good the way it use to and I have started to go to T.G.I Friday instead. I only go to Chiquito in Dagenham for drinks now.

    At Chiquito's Thanet, September 24th 2008, 1pm
Two Chicken skewers ordered , priced at £10.45 each.
Plenty of rice, 3 soft pancakes, pot of soured cream, small portion of a good fresh salsa, 2 chicken skewers.
Chicken used was full of gristle, upon enquiry was told thigh meat is used.
Skewers were heavily daubed with BBQ sauce making it initially difficult to identify what part of the chicken was used. Menu states "chicken pieces".
Manager called and offered to cancel charges for the two ...

We turned over the jalepeno poppers to find that they were black underneath, it looked as though someone had left them in the deep fat fryer for too long. Anyway we asked for another plate of the same and this arrived 25 mins later, looking a little less brown but still over cooked.

No plates were provided with the starter so i proceeded to scald myself with piping hot cheese hey ho

Then the main courses arrived my fajitas but no plate. It appeared as though I was supposed to make them on the ...
