Good Points: None.
Bad Points: Buggy. Awful interface. Crashes.
General comments: Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear.
I've used Quicken for 8.5 years. My last upgrade was 2002. I've just upgraded to 2004 Investor. It crashed a lot during and after installation and registration. It has a horrid interface. Restores don't always work properly. It crashes when you enter dividend income. The Help doesn't match the screens and vice versa, nor does the screen behaviour. It comes with no printed documentation (there is a PDF file on the CD but that's being cheapskates). After 30 days you have to pay to tell them about their bugs. There is no tech support email address. The UK website is way behind the current products. It's also still a very American product - the UK version has little by way of concession to being a UK product.
So, after much pain, I've uninstalled it, gone back to 2002 and am sending it back for a refund.
I actually wonder if anyone tested this product at all.
If you want to upgrade from an earlier one, don't bother. I've ordered Money 2004 instead to give it a whirl.
Very disappointing Intuit, is anyone listening?
Cheers,
David
