What a pleasant surprise. I injured my foot whilst holidaying in Spain and went to a Orthopedic Surgeon. He took X rays and could not see any indication of a broken foot. He then proceeded to inject some anti inflammatory into the injured foot and told me to come back the next few days. My foot did not get better and when I went back he proceeded to inject cortisone into the injured foot and I was again told to come back in 3 days, which I did. My foot was still not better. He then sent me for an MRI and it clearly shows a broken foot which he then put into plaster on receipt of the report and CD. As you can imagine this all cost a lot in time and money. I completed my Claim form online (which was easy) and attached the relevant reports and invoices with very little enthusiasm as I have heard such bad reports about Travel Insurance in general. I prepared myself for a long battle to get reimbursed. Within a few days the money was converted in ZAR and in my bank account!!!!!! I will highly recommend anybody traveling abroad from South Africa to take out Euro Assistance.

Contra to all the other reports, my family has nothing but good things to say about Aria. We were insured through More Than which was underwritten by Aria. My son had to have emergency spinal surgery 20 hours before we were due to fly to Menorca for a family holiday. We had booked flights and accommodation individually so expected for each booking to be treated as a separate claim. It was not - just £40 excess on each policy. They ask for a lot of detail - quite understandably but they answered telephone calls quickly and were most helpful. It doesn't seem to be the same company that everyone else has dealt with. Well done Aria!!

I made a claim through Europ Assistance who underwrite the policy I purchased through holiday extras, without going into the ins and outs of the claim my claim was successful and dealt with a very difficult situation in a professional and understanding way. I have read other reviews on here and do feel that like anything you need to READ what you buy, its easy enough to blame the company if they don't cover you but like anything there are always conditions within a policy. As a slight critique when I sent my claim form in they did say that I would get a email response to confirm that my claim form had arrived and this didn't happen but all in all 5*

To be honest, all these people complaining are complaining because they did not read their policy documents. if they had of read them, like they are told when they purchase a policy then they would know what they are covered for and what they are not. its all down to people being too lazy to read policy wording.

Efficent, friendly sevice. Had to cancel my holiday as I broke my leg. Claim was handled quickly and the claims team very helpful.
