This was our 19th year in the resort, we did a last minute booking for flights and accomodation, we had stayed at the Fereniki before on three occasions and were happy although was a bit put off by the reports we had read. Unless you pay top price you always have a few problems in Crete. We asked for sea view and not ground floor. We got both. Loads of hot water morning and at night. Self catering was a bit basic but it always has been in other hotels. reception was very helpful Never had a problem with cleaning, not eaten or used the pool so cannot comment. Loads of places to eat and drink and will be back again next year we hope. OK so you cannot put paper down the toilets, where can you in Crete? We cannot get flights from England to Chania and have to travel from Heraklion (Hour and a bit in taxi) It's worth it.

Fereniki Complex. It has a really nice view and also has a nice enjoyable spa with good service. I liked it a lot. I had an enjoyable stay. Theres nothing I didn't like about it.

I caught up in the XL saga and 35 euros cash was demanded for each day of the remander of our holiday. If like other hoteliers they had accepted credit cards and were more accommodating then this review would not have been so harsh.

Georgioupolis is definitely worth a visit, but make sure you stay away from the Fereniki Complex!

We stayed at the Fereniki Complex in Georgioupolis. The holiday to Crete as a whole was very disappointing throughout and has put me and my partner off Greece for a long time. The experience we had was not really what you want for your one holiday a year. The room was small, but liveable but the bathroom was bordering disgusting. The drain system never worked, after a shower you would get out and be stood in 4 inches of water, which was cold water at that as we had only one day of hot water. Any ...

Don't go there if you can possibly avoid it.
Found rooms shabby, bedding not changed, air conditioning out of order, sun beds mostly broken.

Don't go if you're looking forward to good service, good food and an enjoyable time.

Please do not go all inclusive here as they haven't got a clue about how to run an all inclusive and you'll pay for everything twice. I was really disappointed!

This was formerly 6 separate hotels which have been linked together to form the Fereniki Complex and the accommodation is therefore split amongst several blocks. There is a mix of accommodation, offering room only, studios and apartments on bed & breakfast, half board or self-catering basis. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style and can be purchased inexpensively if not included in the booked board basis. There are 3 pools within the complex and meals are taken in the taverna right by the b ...
