    General comments: Fred Pescatore, The Hamptons Diet: Lose Weight Quickly and Safely with the Doctor's Delicious Meal Plans - I started The Hamptons Diet a few weeks ago, and I've already shed almost 10 pounds. The diet is based on Fred Pescatore's book The Hamptons Diet, which came out at the beginning of the summer. Fred Pescatore has been the medical director at the Atkins Center for years, and has worked with many celebrity patients. He knows first-hand how people in the Hamptons stay thin.

    The diet is low-carb based, and guides you on making good carbohydrates choices rather than eliminating them entirely. The secret of the diet is an ingredient I never really knew much about: macadamia nut oil. This is one of the best-tasting monounsaturated oils I've ever used, and it's a base for most of the recipes in the book, which are just delicious. I especially love the Backyard Steak Salad.

    I've never lost weight so easily, and yet don't feel like I'm depriving myself of anything. Hopefully, I'll look goof in a bathing suit in the Hamptons next summer. This summer, I'm going to keep focusing on losing more weight.
