Good Points: Good value for money a breeze to set up definitely beats many at more than twice the price.

Bad Points: Didn't really find any that i can think of.

General comments: Bought one of these Linkskys Routers for a friend and set it up for them also. I found it a real breeze to get set up and it is still working fine after about a year.

Worked for 10 mins at a time then cut internet off, had first one replaced after 4 months, put up with new one for 2 weeks then sorted it with a big hammer!

This is the second Linksys router I've had in 2 years, and I won't be buying another of their products. My first router (the non-speedbooster version) died after just over a year, and now this one has died after less than a year.At first it worked just great, but now tt keeps stiching itself off - sometimes after a few hours, sometimes after only a few seconds. It's totally bizarre that product can sell for over £50, but be useful for such a short period of time. I'll have to finish this r ...

I have had this router for over 2 years and all my problems were put down to my provider. I have had access from multiple simultaneous devices, including my printer, which does occupationally drop off, but that may be due to the printer itself as I get reception for the laptop & ipod on the 2nd floor!, other than that, found it easy to use, easy to configure and to manage.

I have heard many issues about Ethernet of all 4 ports. Mine has stopped working recently. Similiar problem I been hearing from few friends of mine that are using the same ADSL linksys WAG54G Router.

For the moment I bought this router, it didn't do what it was supposed to. The promotional materials stated that it could be used to limit internet access by device and day/time. The clock internally didn't work, so this function was useless for me. No support from Linksys at all.Now the ethernet has packed up and I have to access wirelessly. So I write this review whilst shopping online for a replacement during the units last days as far as I am concerned.

When I got it I was thrilled plugged and played for a week no problems but now its up for 10 minutes at a time before losing the internet. I threw the box away so no refund. Pity but linksys you have one of the worst products I know here. I think they should have tested it before they shipped it.

Hammering away for a long time, no problems so far. After using 5 other brands, models and makes (including Linksys) this one is WAY EASIER and the better one of them all.

This is far and away the worst electronic device I have ever bought. Worse even than my Motorola phone. The helpdesk support is non-existent and the web pages (especially for the WAG354G) are useless. Cisco seems shocked that people outside the US buy their products. I guess I'm pretty shocked by it too.

I bought the v2 model and I am now on my third unit which has been sent from warranty repair. This too is going back for replacement.
Here is my history of owning this router.
Original Unit: Kept randomly dropping ADSL connection. Took me ages to eliminate BT, my ISP, my home wiring etc.
Replacement Unit #1: Unreliable uploading via FTP. Updated firmware. FTP then worked however my Playstation2 then stopped working online.
Replacement Unit #2: None of the Ethernet ports work. ...

My brother went out and bought a Linksys wireless router without reading any reviews or anything. I was unhappy using it because I loved my wired Netgear router, but he had a laptop and needed wireless.
The router gets very, very hot and drops connection at least once a week. I need to turn it off and on again before it connects.
It feels very cheap and plastic, the build quality is not good at all compared to my old Netgear.
It does not have WPA2 encryption, but it does have standard WPA e ...

I don't recommend any Cisco /LinkSys products in general, the support is not good
I rather buy other brands now.

I installed the new style (silver body) WAG54GS (UK) model over a week ago - took under 30 mins to have my existing home network up and running again - seemed pretty easy to set up (and I'm not a techie person) using the CD wizard etc. You need to ensure you have your password from your internet access provider as well. Haven't tried wireless connectivity yet, only ethernet connections. No problems at all - good performance across all four home PCs.
Previously, have had poor ethernet connectiv ...

I purchased the speedbooster version the WAG54GS with an adapter from PC World for £54.99. It is different visually in that it is silver and vertically mounted on a stand. Once installed, which took a while as I am a complete novice on wireless connection, it has been reliable. Set up on my main PC was a breeze as it took the Ethernet cable. Setting up my son's computer at the other side of the house was less easy but it now works fine. My main concern was getting it secure so I caref ...

The Linksys WAG54G-UK Router is a useless bit of kit. Buy something better! Ours is always going faulty. I just can't face going to Currys or Comet to get a new one, but I will have to.

I've purchased several of these and one by one, the ethernet port dies. V2 Firmware 1.00.19. Most likely an overheating issue. Linksys should consider installing a simply chassis fan to their routers!

I finally replaced my Linksys WAG54G-UK Router this week after several months of weak wireless transmission, dropped connection and became invisible to my PC (switching off and on seemed to fix temporarily). It finally gave up the ghost altogether when it no longer picked up my ADSL connection. I had only had it around 2 years - Not impressed!

I have owned this router for over a year and I have not found it at all reliable. The unit seems to get physically hot, and when this occurs it constantly drops its connection. I'm currently chasing Lynksys for a replacement or refund.

I have had a Tiscali Broadband connection for a year, and I have used not one, but two of these routers. One fried because I accidentally plugged the wrong power source into it. My fault I know, but you would have thought it would have some idiot proofing. The second works fine as long as you're happy to surf for 2 minutes at a time before it overheats and drops any resemblance of a connection.

It is a waste of space. I have just replaced it with a cheap BT alternative which works 100% b ...
