Good Points: Close to the beach, taverns and shops.

    Bad Points: See below...

General comments: It is very noisy at the Hotel Seabird in Moraitika, with motorbikes and cars and a very noisy guard dog which continually barked. Also, the various late night / early morning revellers returning to their hotel room at all times in the morning.

Breakfast is vastly basic; Bread and Jam. The pool is occupied from very early in the morning, and there were not enough parasol's at the pool to go around. The folk who run the hotel are very friendly, but they are very relaxed about things, especially when returning the safe key. It would be advisable to return your safe key the night before to get your 10 Euros back, as in the morning there is little or no staff at all. Corfu airport is just one major nightmare. When checking in, take lots of water with you, some headache tablets and sun screen, as it's guaranteed you'll need these 3 things!! Get to the airport way before check-in, as it is horrendously busy.

Overall, it wasn't a bad holiday. There are lots of things to do and see (best to hire a car). The food is fabulous at the local taverns, especially The Rose Garden and The Islands. The rooms are very basic but clean, although the shower and toilet systems need to be upgraded. Drink plenty of bottled water, as the drinking water tastes rather salty to say the least.

Although Hotel Seabird is not on the main road, the outside road is still very busy with bikes, cars and lots of transfer coaches at all hours of the day. The rooms are basic but clean. There are 2 swimming pools both quite small but the area and pool is kept clean and tidy. The 'adult' pool is fairly deep and not suitable for small children, the childrens pool is around half a metre deep and no more than 5 metres sq.
Lots of bars and restuarants on the beach and main town (ten minute walk). ...
