    Good Points: Great resolution sizes
    Good refresh rates

Bad Points: Not easy to get the display crystal clear @ high res (Desktop icons have fuzzy text)

Not very well shielded against magnetism

    Blooming heavy (67.1 pounds (27-28Kg)

General comments: I bought one of the ViewSonic G220f monitors towards the end of March, 2005, for about £360 - £385 from Savastore.com (part of Watford Electronics). I phoned View Sonic up a couple of months later, to ask them how I can make the desktop icons text clearer in high res. Got no satisfaction.

Now that I have had the monitor for a year and two months it is starting to play up.

I moved the monitor (from my desk to a chest of drawers) as I was rearranging my room. Once everything was moved, I put it back.

Now, in the week that it has been in its new position it has done this twice:

It will suddenly make a loud click, go blank and at the top of the screen is a two inch thick white strobe effect bar. I turned the monitor off, and back on, and the display came back.

Also, I have had two speakers (cheap ones I bought at a computer fair years ago) next to the monitor, along with a reciever for my keyboard and mouse (I think it's radio?) These items have been next to the monitor since I bought it, with no problems. Now they are magnetizing the monitor, and the bottom portion (where the start bar is) has gone lovely shades of slight purple and green.

Also, if you own a PSP, DO NOT charge it anywhere near the monitor, I mean it. Sony won't have it that the PSP's transformer isn't shielded, but if you charge it near this monitor, expect the whole screen to be green and purple within 24 hours.

It takes days and days for the monitor to clear and you have to de guass it over and over again.

I wouldn't have another View Sonic monitor on principal now, simply because I have been treated like something they trod in.

If anyone knows how to get a refund on an item owned over a year, PLEASE state how by adding a comment to this review!!
