    Good Points: Good sound quality
    Plays CD's as well

    Bad Points: Does not record

    General comments: ~Introduction~
    -------------

I looked in my Littlewoods Catalogue. Hence, I found the Goodmans GDVD135 DVD player and decided to buy it.

    ~The Look/ Features~
    -------------

It has a silver metal body, with a silver remote that has blue buttons on the remote and a blue display screen on the DVD. It's got 12 buttons on the front of the DVD, on-off, stop, ff, rew etc. It's also got zoom, title, menu, set up, sub title features. This is very useful to control from your chair. It can reach up to the 2O feet with my remote, but you must be pointing it at the DVD for it to work at all.

Again, the extra features on the remote are all you could want, and there are some I never use, like the change from PAL to NTSC feature. The DVD player sits on feet made of soft rubber, so it will not scratch a table, and it looks like it is durable.

    ~Weight~
    -------------

The weight comes in as Net 2.5 Kg, and it is so light, anyone can move it. It could fit into a box about 18" square.

    ~Price~
    -------------

I bought it with the GHC35 Home cinema system, and it was £140.

    ~Ease of Use~
    -------------

It's very simple to use. It has one scart socket, two external speaker plug holes; right & left, and a plug for a computer to be connected, which I have never used. The tray rolls back inside when a button is pushed.

    ~Durability~
    -------------

It's made from strong plastic. I have tested this many times while dropping the remote. While doing some cleaning I knocked the scart lead. It did not work afterwards, but I called the repair shop, then repaired it my self when fiddling with it.

    ~Advantages~
    -------------

The picture quality and features are excellent for my limited needs, and I can recommend the extra feature of cinema sound. It is clear and bright to watch after the video, so much so, I threw my video in the bin. I can play music CD's on it as well.

    ~Disadvantages~
    -------------

As it does not record, that is a problem, so next time I want a recorder.

    ~Overall~
    -------------

I am recommending this product as it has served my needs well.
