“Me and my partner went to this hotel 2weeks ago to...”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 26/07/2010

Me and my partner went to this hotel 2weeks ago to celebrate our anniversary, when we arrived we were asked if we wanted to pay 50 euro to upgrade to a room with air con in to the block which had been refurbished, we decided not to and were told by the manager "you will be back in 5minutes" after seeing the room they intended to put us in we decided to upgrade, the room had bugs squashed into the curtains the shower was mouldy and the sink was smashed, also the balcony door would not lock. After paying the money we were moved to the new block which was lovely with a bath and two sinks in the bathroom. The bed linen and towels did not get changed whilst we were there. Pool was cleaned every night which is a plus. The all inclusive buffet consisted of salad which you could pick how much you wanted but the main food chips, meatballs the chef dished out. You were not allowed to go up for seconds, the snacks menu at the bar consisted of pizza slice, toasties and sandwiches in the brochure it states the snacks are served from 10am until 8pm this is untrue the pizza slices finished at 5pm and on somedays 4pm, also in the brochure it states hot dogs are available along with ice cream etc, hot dogs were not available and ice cream and biscuits were for children only. There is not a separate bar for all inclusive guests as it also states. The rules for all inclusive changed everyday for different people, the staff were very unfriendly and rude. I know this hotel is only 2.5* but there and people say you get what you pay for but a smile and a friendly atmosphere between the staff does not cost anything. There was a steep hill to the hotel which some would be difficult for people with walking difficulties. I would go back to Dassia again but would not go tot his hotel it was literally a joke and ruined our holiday.

“We stayed at the Telemachos hotel last July and found...”

★★★★☆

written by on 19/03/2010

We stayed at the Telemachos hotel last July and found it brilliant! After reading some reviews online we thought we were expecting a dive so we were very pleasantly surprised! The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. we did pay the extra 50euros for an air conditioning room however, it was well worth it. The room was very spacious and we had a large balcony overlooking the pool. As with many others at the hotel, we were all inclusive and found this to be great. The food is quite basic at dinner time, but throughout the day you can get pizza, chips, ice cream, toasties, hot dogs etc. to eat round the pool. Plus the alcohol on the all inclusive is not the usual cheap stuff you get at other all inclusive hotels. The only bad thing about the holiday was the resort. As a couple in our early twenties, we did want a bit of nightlife, however, there was only one bar in dassia which was a little bit lively and open till around 2am. We found ourselves getting taxis 2 Ipsos (the resort next door) on most nights as they have actual clubs! I think if you are going as a family then dassia is a lovely resort for a holiday and the Telemachos is a lovely hotel!

All staff were friendly and helpful at Tilemachos Hotel. The guy on reception was fantastic as were some of the other staff.
Pool area was clean . Bathrooms need refurbishing and needs a shower curtain .
Chef could only do food he,s told to do but could do with different choices would be good. Would go again to this hotel...
Not in a built up area.

“Okay, me and my mother do not DO all inclusive...”

★★★★★

written by wildfire666 on 30/06/2009

Okay, me and my mother do not DO all inclusive holidays, so, due to the rate of the Euro at the minute, we figured it would be a good time to try it. After we booked it, we stupidly read the reviews and can i just say we were tempted to cancel because certain made the place out to be a stinking cess-pit of eternal doom. If you are expecting said cespit on your arrival, you will be disappointed.

The hotel, f you remember, is a two and a half star place. The food is superb, me and mother are naturally quite fussy eaters, but there was something on the menu for us everyday. The chef is an exceptionally nice man and makes dinner a very relaxed atmosphere.

The staff are all lovely, yes there are one or two fawlty towers/ benidorm characters knocking about but genuinely, the nicest staff I have met.

The All Inclusive bar is open from 10am to 9:30 pm. This is not the hotel's decision but Olympic's. They also take a vast amount of the money you pay for your holiday, so the hotel only have £9.50 to play with per person per day inc. breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. Hoew they manage it i dont know because I came back about 5 stone heavier. Snacks on the bar include toasties, pizzas, hotdogs, and gorgeous ice cream. the drinks are, orangeade, orange juice, lime andlemonade, lemonade and rola cola. There is beer, bacardi, vodka, gin, whisky and brandy to boot.

Dassia is a lovely village/town, it is VERY QUIET, there is one nightclub, which, i hear, isnt much cop so if you want a clubbin holiday, dassia is not the place to go. It sdoes have lovely supermarkets, tavernas and views. ALSO, thesea front is all shingle so do not expect sand, get a sunlounger for 5 euros, with parasol, for the day.

The only two criticisms i have for the hotel are, the lack on sunbeds, there are aot but tthey often run out, so, sadly, we had to resort to the german regime of getting up at stupid o'clock in the morning to get beds as mymother was disabled and needed to be comfortable throughout.

The second criticism was the lack of space for people when we were waiting to be picked up. Naturally we had an awful flight time of three in the morning and we had only got the room to 12 non the day previous, we did get to keep the room on for 30 euros until 7 pm, byt the hotel was fully booked.

Other than this, we made so many friends it was unreal. Everythig you should want is there and I cannot get over how lovely the staff were and the people. We are already looking into going again next year.

Hotel Tilemachos has clean rooms. However, nothing for children to do except for a dirty pool, no evening entertainment. The food was always the same. Whatever your flight time you have to vacant your room too many hours before you leave. If you what to be bored or you don't mind being in a dirty place with no entertainment then this is the place for you.

I have never been to such a dive in my life, the owners and the staff are very ignorant once they have your money they don't want to know if you have a problem. The facilities were diabolical, the sun loungers, the toilets, the showers, the pool, inclusive bar were covered in bees and wasps they were every where, the food in the hotel was not edible. You had plastic cups to drink out, of we never had a glass only at meal times when you wanted a glass of water and then if there weren't any glasses you had plastic cups again. I would definitely not recommend.

What a dive! Wouldn't go back if it was the last place on earth. All inclusive isn't worth wasting your time. Best part of the holiday was leaving the place to go home.

This hotel should be investigated by Olympic and taken off their holiday brochure. The room I had was dirty, the towels and bedding are changed once a week on Wednesdays. As for the food almost inedible. The worst place I have stayed.
Please go to Corfu it is a wonderful island. Just go to any other hotel.

The room I stayed in was dirty and hot. The towels and bedding was changed once a week on Wednesdays. You cannot sit outside by the pool after the bar is closed. There is a 50 euro charge if you want a transfer to a room with air con. Complaints were ignored by management. It is more like a borstal than a hotel

When we arrived at 1.30am we went to our rooms and you could not swing a cat in they were very small. The next day we found out you could get air conditioning for an extra charge. We went to check out the rooms and they were very nice. It is just a shame you pay for your holiday and then have pay extra for a decent room. Food was edible but with very little choice. All inclusive finishes at 9.30pm so nearly everyone went out into the town if it finished a little later people would probably stay there and spend their money.

“I have just visited the Tilemachos Hotel in Dassia,...”

★★☆☆☆

written by tomcroucher on 30/08/2005

I have just visited the Tilemachos Hotel in Dassia, and I have a lot to talk about. As with most hotels, age sometimes does play a part. Young children and teenagers will not like this hotel. The swimming pool is one of my good points, as you can see in the picture. But the hotel is touch and go. This is because a new block of rooms has been built. There is a LARGE differance between these and the 400 other rooms!! If the hotel do issue a differant price for this new block, it is worth paying it!! We were moved from old to new because we complained.

But enough with that, lets talk entertainment. Poor, bad, out of tune are only a few words!! There is piano (keyboard!), karaoke (probably the best entertainment!), music quiz/bingo night, live music (awful) and a scottish singer. Now to the staff, which are certinaly not 'child freindly'. KIDS BEWARE - THEY'RE ALWAYS THERE! Yes, if you're caught running about - they'll find you!! They are horrible people, and make the most to ruin your holiday.

It is difficut to review the rooms because of the new building. So I will review the old ones. AIR CONDITIONING IS A MUST if you even stand a chance of surviving rooms here (both new and old rooms). The mattreses are old and delapadated, and the finishing is awful. PAY FOR NEW BUILDING. The food I would put in the balance. For children - (you guessed it!) a nightmare. For dinner, if they don't like whats on the buffet, they can have chicken nuggets + chips (you must ask for this) There is a wide range of salads and meats, with very bad puddings, which uses left over foods from the other day. Next to the dining room, is the TV lounge (NOT tv/video lounge), they do have most channels, including Sky Sports, but not BBC, ITV, C4, and the news is constantly on. If you do go to the Tilemachos Hotel, I stayed in room 228!!
