    On the first day of our holiday in october 2009, we were transferred here becuase our original hotel was massivly overbooked.
    The appartments at the Gelino are horrible, the worse i've ever stayed in.
    Very very basic, outdated, with tiled floors and walls.
    The beds were so hard it was difficult to sleep.
    There was no a/c, the tv didn't work, and cockroaches were crawling on the floor.
    The bathroom was disgusting, filthy and in need of updating.
    The bar staff were also very rude, and seemed to dislike english people.
    We only stayed one night, and would not stay there again even if it was free.

    In my experience this hotel is not 5 *. The only part of 5* is the main reception area where you check in. The bar staff and waiters hardly understand a word you say. The TV's in both rooms we stayed in did not work. The towels in our first room had holes in them and the boarders were old and frayed. The staff by the pool bar are so laxy daisy, when they see you standing there they just look at you as if we should be really serving ourselves and get all funny when you ask for some service The e ...

    Vicinity of sea to Gelina Village was great; diverse amusement program; 10 min walk from the center of village; international language service; vicinity to mountains.
    Large group of 2-3 floor hotels; nice surrounding; safe environment; sandy beach; green-line bus connection to other cities (Corfu ca 1.2 hours).
