Good Points: Good picture quality from DVD source, built in Dolby Pro-Logic decoder, with external speakers works well. Logical remote.
Bad Points: Reliability. My TX32PL4 is now beyond economic repair after only 23 months. Buy an extended warranty with this TV. Panasonic customer service is non-existent.
General comments: I was extremely pleased with this Panasonic TX32PL4 32 Widescreen TV, which represented a compromise route to surround sound by including a Dolby Pro-Logic decoder, with 5 channel amplification and external speakers for centre and rear left and right.
Control of the TV was easy with the exception of inputing an S-video source which seemed to cause it to switch into a strange mode that took a great deal of button pushing to get it back to normal RGB.
What can I say. It cost me £850, and 23 months on its static convergence has gone completely out and according to all engineers consulted this cannot be fixed. I did not buy an extended warranty (my previous TVs all went for 10+ years and refused to die, but they were all Mitsubishis) and I am now going to have to buy a new TV (not a Panasonic obviously).
