I am not a member but the our local Bracknell Esporta is a very bad neighbour. Noise well into the early hours from parties also they have the refuse bins collected around about midnight and the alarms can be heard going off unattended in the early mornings about 5 am

Joined the P'boro Esporta in August, i was told that it was a years contract but was not told about the 3 months notices period.
I was told the induction was 3 training sessions where a training plan would be built to suit your needs. The induction was a joke, warm up is 10 mins on a bkie, not stretching, no call down. It seems that a lot of people are complaining only about the notice required when terminating their contract, not one of you has mentioned anything detrimental in regards to the appearance of the club or its facilities. It seems that you are the ones that are all about money because you had to pay for 3months worth of membership when leaving. Read the contract, it is all in there. If you are looking for top class facilities- Esporta is the one for you! Cleanliness is very good, staff very helpful and friendly, a real enjoyable place to work out!

All I would advise people is if you decide to join the Esporta Group be aware of what you are letting yourself in for. Read the contract carefully. And ask the sales people to explain honestly the cancellation policy.

I could not cancel the contract the next day after I had signed it, because they do not have calling-back period. Membership advisor was very pushy and not very pleasant. Before I joined Esporta I had been getting telephones calls from them several times a day, which was really annoying. After I had joined, and needed to find out about cancellation none of them called me back although promised. Their priority is MONEY, it is too obvious that all they need from you is money.

I joined esporta and was made fully aware of the 12 month period that I had to complete which is not a good policy but I was made aware of it; however while I was rushed through the process of filling out forms what I was not made aware of was the ridiculous 3 month notice period to terminate my membership, this was clearly brushed passed me swiftly and I now know why as they have managed another 3 months out of me, and judging by the amount of reviews from people who have also been caught out b ...

I really like the Esporta club in Sunderland. Never too busy. Good facilities and this particular club is very clean with helpful staff. Loses one point on parking. Sometimes full but there is alternative parking near by. Seems to me that the only people here with problems are the ones who've tried to cancel and have not read the terms and conditions. I used Esporta health club Stoke for 12 months and was very happy going and training there. I decided to go myself as i was looking to further my fitness, so i had no membership consultant/advisor or any other sales person trying to push the sale. Had huge problems since I left this mob - concluded the full 12 months and gave notice. Have been puursued by their debt collectors ever since. The company hasnt responded to correspondence on the issue. They are a showere of shysters. Go for walk each day - its cheaper, cleaner ans less stressful! And no contract law involved!

I was even unable to attend induction because I was ill I sent a doctors letter they did not accept it but they sent me debt collection agencies this company is ripping off people and would always like to talk about debt collection never listen to customers don,t join't this club there are much better clubs out there than this.this is not a good company at all

Although I have only been a member of this particular gym for about a month, I don't have anything bad to say, and lots of good things. Miss-information upon cancellation. 3 members of staff told us one thing regarding how many months we had to pay and then another member of staff months down the line demenaded more payment. Gym was alright - david lloyd is much better and worth the premium

You sign a seperate piece of paper regarding the 3 month notice period.. read the paperwork! Is the gym really worth the one rating you give it because you didnt read it? The gym is clean, tidy and well maintained. Staff are friendly with free fruit on entry and free tea and coffee. Staff will help with any problems. Just bother to read your contract and then rate the company correctly. Dont rate on your incompetance to read the terms.

On the whole esporta belfast is a great club, the gym is clean and well equipped and the staff are very helpful and know what they are doing, i got a fitness programme drawn out and my instructor was great, especially with free weights, he saw me after my programme and continued helping me. The only complaints I would have would be that the shower area is a little bit grubby, bar that it's great!

Unfortunately I'm one of the people who trusted Esporta sales personnel. When we joined the club in 2006 we asked explicitly about the cancellation terms and the only answer we got was that after 12 months we could cancel whenever we wanted and that there are no other specifications (we believed them, what a big mistake!). Unfortunately we were in a hurry and we didn't pick up the contracts. They told use that they will send them by mail, and we believe them again.....and we have never had them. ...

I feel that the Sheffield Esporta really need to live up to their own sales pitch saying that the overpriced monthly fee is due to the exceptional service that you receive!
I have cancelled my membership due to the overpriced monthly price on the 2nd March and have received a letter to say that I will have to pay an additional month as it wasn't canceled prior to the end of February; this all being before the March payment has been collected by direct debit. 4 months cancellation has to be a jok ...

Drop the 12 month contract and do a weekly or monthly so you can leave if you have to and not lose 6 to 7 hundred pounds a year. have someone to look at the club and improve things there.
