Good Points: I've been a member at the Russell Square Branch for three years and at first I used to love going, it was friendly and had a great atmosphere. I think the only good point at the moment is the location and the fact there is a swimming pool.
Bad Points: The bad points are that there has been a large turn over of staff, the present ones seem to think that being at work means to stand around and gossip. The Spa, sauna and steam room are invariabley out of order. The swimming pool isn't as clean as it used to be and isn't monitored like it used to be. Last week was my last day there and I couldn't see at all under water and left me with a skin rash! Other members don't return equipment to where they got them from and leave towels and rubbish in the changing rooms. You cannot choose your own locker now and have to hand your card over for a key, which is usualy the cramped ones on the bottom, when asking for a top locker they say there aren't any and when you get down stairs the gym and pool are empty! The equipment is starting to wear out and there have been two cross trainers out of order, where one is actually kept in order but the hand bar wobbles. General cleaniless is at a low, there is dust on much of the equipment. Hand towels have now been phased out. They have childrens days which is fair enough, but the parents have no control over their kids, I've complained on numorous times and I've actually ended my membership... but it doesn't stop there, I gave them a months notice and still preceded to take money from my account for this month, I forgot to cancel the direct debit. But I phoned them and they have refused (so far) to refund my money. I am not at all happy and would not recommend this place to anyone. I have now found Cannons in Bloomsbury and so far has been first class!
General comments: I would be interested if anyone has experienced this or is it just me that seems fussed over it all. Living Well used to be first class but going there now seems to stress me out more than I went with in the first place!

LivingWell is a pleasant club. It has a homely feel to it. It used to be exclusive, but since they have pushed for so many members, it can be extremely busy and unfortunately, not clean.
The gym equipment is no better than the equipment in my local council run leisure centre. The prices go up every year, so I've decided to leave and go to my local leisure centre, and save my hard earned cash!!
