Joined LA fitness and told them right from the start I had a back problem. My back became very painful soon after joining and my GP advised me to stop the Gym while I awaited an operation. I tlephone my LA fitness club to cancel they told me to get a doctor's note and then they would cancel my membership. I carried out all instructions and took letter to the club two and a half weeks ago and guess what they lost the letter. I have been ringing the membership services and the club to get it sorted, finally today they have cancelled. The club was really rude to me and I had to make fuss to get the membership cancelled. Will never join again and certainly can't recommend the customer service, it's appalling!!

Absolutely dire. LA Fitness just closed the only gym near me for a two week refurbishment. Gave me no notice whatsoever. They will not refund two weeks membership fees. No possibility of cancelling. Even when the gym was open, it was dark, sweaty and impossible to get on the equipment.

If LA Fitness was still a publicly quoted company, I would short sell the shares.

I was emailing their sales team re: the option to buy guest passes. This they say they offer to those customers who they are unable to find a suitable plan for. After a price was agreed over the telephone, later that same evening they emailed to say I had only a few hrs to accept. I didnt check my email till 800am the folowing day to find that the offer was very restricted and no longer available. I visited at 10 am and was refused the offer made midday the prior day.
I can only say im not IMPR ...

I attended the LA Fitness in Southgate on a £12 one day pass in an attempt to make up my mind if I would like to join; one of the 2 classes I had booked got cancelled and no-one was bothered to let those waiting in the class know; due to some other issues they were kind enough to offer me a one-week pass but that only made me clearly decide never to join their club: teachers are clearly bored and not motivating, classes get cancelled on a regular basis with NO ONE ever letting you know tho ...

Worst.Company.Ever. Essentially they tell you very nice things to get you to sign. Once you have become a member they stop caring about you entirely, are unresponsive to comments and unwilling to engage in a dialogue. While the facilities are decent (albeit on the dingy side), their complete lack of customer service made me cancel my membership, and I will never go back.

There contracts are a trap, they are over priced and cancelling is a nightmare.

Do not join Croydon LA Fitness. I can look beyond the dirt and general state of disrepair but what amazed me the most was that once I'd signed up I needed to speak to the manager regarding the creche. The manager (via her staff) said she would be a few minutes. Then I was told she would be 5 mins. 45 minutes later I was told she was dealing with some accounts with pending deadlines and would not be coming out of her office. No attempt was made to take my details or any offer to call me later. I ...

This is a dreadful gym. Despite recent much vaunted refurb the ladies changing rooms for the pool are still a stinky, shabby mess with peeling paint, damaged plaster and rotting wood. Some lovely individual members of staff, bu a general feeling of lack of skill, training and care. Yoga equipment is unbelievably poor, many years old, not all bought for purpose.
Pool is nice, if small. Main problems there are that small kids are allowed to use it without nappies (beware not such small boys in the ...

I used to be a member of the same club when it was Dragons and prior to that Trainstation healthclub, it has really deteriorated in every way.
The Staff even after seeing them every day for the last year still look puzzled when i book a class, the classes are really dire, i can only do certain classes due to a back problem.
The yoga is terrible, the teacher is out of tume with the class and does her own thing obliviuos.
The place hasn't been painted for years and the floors in the classes are al ...

My home club East Grinstead La Fitness has just been sold to another gym called NuYuu. My membership with La Fitness is about to be terminated without my prior consent. I rang head office as I was instructed to do, only to be treated badly by a customer service representative who basically told me that he didn't know much about it other than that my membership had been passed to NuYuu and that he could not help me as I had chosen to no longer be a member of La Fitness(NOT TRUE). I was one of ...

I along with many friends are very upset about the verbal language and the air conditioning being out for awhile now at LA Fitness Health Club.
The gym is dirty and the machines upstairs do not work all the time.

I was put off joining LA Fitness in Woking as when I rang up to enquire about rates, etc, I was expected to supply a lot of personal information first without them giving me any real information about themselves in return. They were trying to force me to turn up in person to discuss "my details" before being prepared to divulge any of their plans and prices. I find this approach very arrogant as it is a very one-way process that is effectively unnecessarily prying into an individual's private l ...

LA Fitness Health Clubs lacks basic customer service skills essential for running a client based businese. I've witness on numerous occasions walking through the doors having 3 staff members behind the counter not doing anything but staring right at me and then totally ignoring me on my way in after I have smiled or said hello. The only reason I go here is b/c I have an amzing membership priced based on what I paid 12 years ago when it was Powerhouse aka Canadian bodyworks (brampton, ontario)... ...

The most appaling customer service i have ever encountered NEVER become a member of LA Fitness, My monthly memberhsip payment bounced for one month and they not did not contact me instead they waited 2 months, sent me a letter saying that if i did not pay it i would be subject to a late payment charge. i immediately called them and they then notified me that there charges had increased to £161 as they has instructed a debt collecting agency, without even notifiying me!! Stevenage LA Fitness - I'm throwing my money away simple as that.

I can't even stand walking through the doors it is such a horrible place to be nothing like when I first joined. The staff are rude on one ocassion when I called up to book a class I couldn't even understand the gentleman on the other end of the phone. Surely in this current climate they have the pick of the choice when it comes to employing staff with competent customer service skills.
    It isn't a comfortable atmosphere which ...

LA Fitness, Sale is a joke they have done nothing in ten years. They're at the same level as Sale leisure centre for the gym equipment and the receptionists are rude and arrogant.

I'm a member at LA Fitness, Sale. The problem is, it's the major club they have been there for nearly 10 years. They increase prices annually on long term existing loyal members such as myself and they have a poor standard of weights. They have not spent any money on new equipment in nearly 10 years of being there and when something breaks it takes on average 4 months to repair and the air conditiong has not worked for nearly 2 years.
