I can not review this rifle as i am still deciding between the AA 410E and the Tarantula. I also thought that the barrel was free floating-but after reading reviews it looks as if it is not-[ I was a bit concerned that the barrel would not be stable-free floating] I'm leaning towards the FX at this point-I want a rifle that is accurate to 50 yards for hunting [mostly crow] and from what I've read in these reviews it looks as if the FX is without a doubt the way to go. Anyone with opinions as to my choises so far would be a great help. The knowlege so far has been fantasic and of great help. I'm also going to be buying from Airguns of Arizona no matter what, it seems they are a classy outfit and the one's to go to for premium air rifles

The FX Tarantula air rifle comes with a double honed Lothar-Walter choked match grade barrel. It's capable of putting pellets through a single hole at 20-yards. The trigger is adjustable and very refined. When pulling the bolt back, the 8-round magazine indexes a new round in front of the chamber. Pushing the bolt forward places the pellet into the chamber as well as cocks the hammer. There's no actual safety. Keeping the bolt back functions as the safety.

I'm very skeptical of the Walnut Sto ...

The FX Tarantula gun is a tack driver! Of all the guns I own, this is my favourite, my 'go to' gun. The fit and finish is high quality. The Turkish Walnut stock is beautiful, although it points like a shotgun and doesn't feel quite right on an airgun. The gun is very light and does well in the field.

The gun is whisper quiet with a Ripley moderator fitted. Quarry can never seem to tell what is going on, even crows. The sound of the hammer striking the valve is all that is heard. Kudos ...

I have owned a FWB124, RWS45 and RWS48 .177 rifles. The FX Tarantula S in .22 is a different breed of cat. Being a PCP rifle, direct comparisons are muted. The RWS48 was the most powerful, accurate and heaviest Springer I have ever shot (1150 fps with 1/4" accuracy at 30 yards and 9 lbs.) The FX, on the other hand, is light at 8 lbs, quiet, high powered and very very accurate. No recoil/twang is different feel and may take me some time to get used to it, but it does work to increase accuracy. Wh ...

When I opened the FX Tarantula box all I could see was quality, the gun is just awesome. The gun was tested at aoa before shipping and it came in at 30.14lbs, and can be adjusted down to around 12 lbs..I put my scope on and in 6 shots had it all sighted in.I set my scope at o for elevation and windage and never had to change the windage at all.I adjusted the power down some as I will be shooting inside this winter and get about 40 plus usable shots per fill. I bought the fx pump and find the pump ...

I love my FX Tarantula! Soon after buying it I ordered a barrel shroud from Airguns of Arizona. I installed it myself and it works great! Very quite! Easy to put on, and looks like it came from the factory that way! The gun will shoot .500" 5 shot groups @50yrds, and functions perfectly. I have a Burris 4x12 compact scope on mine w/BKL rings, it's very light wieght! JSB's work really well with it! Kodiak's were close but not quite as good. Enjoy!

I just bought my 2nd Tarantula. The first one is having a barrel shroud installed on it by Airguns of Arizona.

I have owned an Air Arms S410e. I currently have a Daystate SE and a FX Cyclone.

If you want accuracy and power, nothing that I have seen beats the Tarantula. At 30 yards, it will put eight pellets into the same hole. I regularly make 70+ yard shots with it.

As for power, the S410e probably edges it out. But, if you want to make a 70 yard shot at a magpie, give me the Tara ...

I just purchased a used FX Tarantula and I was immediately struck by the beauty of this rifle. It is accurate, powerful, lightweight, and with the exta magazines and the air gauge it has everything. The end of the muzzle brake is threaded for a "moderator", it makes the barrel a bit long but very quiet indeed.

I just bought a FX Coyote air rifle. I already have a Daystate Harrier SE.
The Daystate is an excellent rifle but I needed more knockdown power at 50 yards. You shoot coyotes with an airgun because you can.
It is better than running them down and hitting them over the head with a shovel.

From a professional hunters point of view, this is the perfect rifle for small game+. In .22 caliber I have taken ground squirrel to coyote. The largest being a 41lb brute. It is a very capable air rifle in the right hands. Once sighted in, properly placed shots will bring home a nice turkey dinner. The rifle begets a numerous amount of questions and a lot of wows. Pictures do not do this rifle justice, in person and in ones hands, it simply is a beautiful beast. Being PCP's (pre-charged pneumat ...

The Tarantula is the US version of the Webley FX2000, key differences are much higher quality stock and a brass bolt. This is by far the best bang for your buck. For about $1,100 US you get gun, scope, mounts and pump. This gun has the ability to shoot better than I can make it shoot. God Bless Fredrik Axelson!
