As others before I was a little reserved about the reviews but Hotel Roda Beach Village place was brilliant.
The rooms were basic but clean, with being a couple we did not see any problem in the shower head not being fixed to the wall, it made great entertainment for us.
Food was fantastic, a very large choice and different every day, especially the meat selection. Breakfast was always the same, you had a choice of cooked, cereal, croissants etc.
Lunch and dinner you had a choice of salad, chips, pasta, sauted potatoes, mashed potatoes then a choice of 3 main dishes (in different sauces)which included chicken, beef, pork and local things like squid and their own pies but it was all excellent. A wide choice of puddings (cold) 4 flavours of ice cream, cake, mouse, fruit. The snacks at the pool bar through the day were not really touched (they were not up to much) but because of your choice in the restaurant, you did not need to eat between meals.
We had entertainment every night, depends what you call it but we had 2 nights caberet, bingo, adult games, kids entertainment through the day and a night disco before adults.
There was an excellent host at the bar, the male one is to crack a smile yet but passible haha. Will deff go again, clean and friendly. Met some great English people there.
Beach was pebbles but once in the water it was sand and you could swim out for about 1/4 mile and still touch the floor (i am 5ft 1")the village was quiet but very friendly and too long a walk.

Forget negative reviews the Hotel Roda Beach Village is a great venue for Singles, Couples, Elderly , the Young & Younger, but not teens. It is peaceful & all inclusive with plenty to eat drink, be merry & happy with plenty to do in a iyllic spot. Dont come if you want All Nighters, Raves, Clubs, Boozy Binges - it wont be for you. BUT it has everything else that normal holidaymakers want! Great Service, great food, clean large roos, pool complex, on the beach and beautiful surroundings.

It is worthy of note that the poor reviews are somewhat dated.

My family has been going to Hotel Roda Beach Village for some 22 years. We return, because the other venues, we have tried just do not come up to even the poorest standards in this excellent hotel.

We keep abreast of the hotel's progress through visits by other family members and friends (to whom we have recommended it over the years)

There was a dip in standards in the late 90s, but even with the odd petty niggles, my family have ...

Had a lovely holiday at Roda Beach, despite having a few reservations after reading some negative reviews. The hotel is great, as are the facilities. The pool areas are big and sunbeds are plenty. The large pool area has slides for the kids and lots going on, whereas the smaller pool area is quieter and more relaxing if you don't have kids. The food at the hotel is very good. Some of the same foods will be found daily, but there are always 5-6 different main foods every day. There are plenty of d ...

A fantastic family holiday, had 2 weeks there and really feel like we have been on holiday, one we are sharing stories about still. We thought we had chosen very well when we booked it and upon arrival and throughout the whole 2 weeks we were proved to be right.

I definitely recommend the Hotel Roda Beach Village to Family and Friends, I have no complaints at all, the mini bar in the room was re-stocked full everyday, you got a free complimentary bottle of champagne when you arrive, the staff was very friendly and polite, there was different entertainment every night and the entertainers were all nice. I'd ignore all the bad reviews if I were you.

After reading some reviews, we were a bit worried what we might find at the Roda Beach but after arriving we were pleasantly surprised. Unlike some reports, the reception staff were friendly and could speak fairly good English. The only disappointment to our holiday followed when were shown our room, it wasn't like the website pictures but seeing we were there for a holiday and not to sit in a room, we didn't make a fuss! The food served in all the restaurants was to a high standard and all the ...

As we read reviews before we went to the Roda Beach Hotel, they were average. As we made a speedy arrival outside our hotel, we thought wow this looks luxurious, as a 5* hotel should look. We got inside the reception area, it was lovely with the lounge close by and the entertainment hall on the ground floor, overlooked by the lounge reception. As we were all very hungry, we asked whether we wanted to go up to the restaurant for a snack, the restaurant and food were both superb and you could sit ...

Arrived at Hotel Roda at 12.30am, our holiday was all inclusive, we had been travelling all day and were apparently not entitled to anything to eat! The reception is lovely and definitely gives you the impression that the hotel is lovely and a definite 5* place, how wrong I was. As soon as we got to our room the stench of sewerage hit us. It was horrible. The air conditioning wasn't working so the only option was to leave the balcony door open, which meant the stench of sewerage from outside ...

The hotel has a cross section of French, German & British, but make no mistake about it, you are not made to feel welcome there.

On our last night 9/10/06 we were told that we had to leave the beach bar as 300 Hungarians were coming in, and if you were British you had to get out and go to the reception bar. When myself and others asked the manager for a reason, he told us that Thomas Cook had told him to get all the British out of the bar at the Hotel Roda Beach Village. The party of 15 tha ...

This is the worst holiday I have been on due to things like the place smelling badly at night, the rooms being in a poor condition and also that some of the restaurant staff weren't as helpful as they could have been (one telling me to 'sit down please' before I had even opened my mouth to ask him for cutlery).
I think this hotel barely scrapes a rating of 3 compared to other holidays I have been on!

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone & if you have small kids beware - if you have the ...

Hotel Roda Beach Village is like musical rooms. There is list at reception for room changes because so many people want to change.
We changed rooms due to no hot water (i.e. no water at all out of the hot tap) between 5.30 and 8.00 pm. Wall paper was peeling and dirty carpet. They put another unlucky arrival straight into our old room. There are about 20 good rooms by the beach out of the hundreds in this hotel.
This hotel plays the star rating game. The star rating only reflects the facilit ...

The Hotel Roda Beach Village in Roda wants to be 5*, but it does not have the facilities or the quality staff to support it. If you expect a 3* holiday you will not be disappointed. Any other expectations and you will be disappointed.

The Hotel Roda Beach Village is a massive complex with loads going on through the day for kids and adults. The French, German and English reps were all very friendly, but the English were the best and very very entertaining. We never won any bingo, but met loads of great friends. The kids really enjoyed themselves. There was a kids club, but they never wanted to go because they might have missed something around the pool.

The food was what you would expect for all inclusive i.e. loads of the ...

The Hotel Roda Beach Village is a great resort which I would certainly go to again. My husband and I went here on our honeymoon with TUI and it was great. My German husband found the location and I arrived to find myself surrounded by French and German travellers. There was a Welsh couple there as well. Apparently quite a few Brits make it down there. Our room had no A/C, not sure if that's true throughout the complex, but in early May we didn't need it anyway. The hotel staff were well versed ...
