My wife and kids went into Claire on the weekend as my 6 year old is really into 1D at the mo, so went to buy her something really nice. I was so narked off when the manager Kim Dawson, said to my 6 year old, 'do you mind watching where your walking as you are knocking at the displays off the wracks'. There was no please or thank you and she didn’t even bother to make eye contact. When i realised my daughter's coat brushed the display, in the very tight shops and accidently knocked a... I can honestly say I love the style of Claire's products. Except for two factors: The jewelry is very expensive, and it breaks easily. Today I payed $10 for a necklace I absolutely loved, but as soon as I arrived home, the chain broke. This is not the first time this has happened. A few years ago, I purchased earrings from Claire's also, and when I arrived home, I set them on the table, and I noticed they were broken. I had barely even touched them! I am currently trying to fix my necklace,... (read more)

I was really disappointed with the staff at this store. They said they couldn't pierce my ears because there were too many shop lifters in the outlet at that time (but they weren't in the shop itself). They then offered me an appointment, but when they returned with the diary I was told to just turn up after lunch the next day some time, but I might have to wait as Saturdays could be busy. Feeling deflated now. (read more)

Today I went to claires in Guildford to purchase some of the earrings that they use to do their ear piercings for my daughter. I don't have my ears pierced so the huge selection was confusing to me and I didn't know the difference between the materials on offer. The supervisor there (the name on my receipt is Lisa) spent about 10 minutes explaining the benefits of certain materials over others and running through the price list for me. She helped me to select two very nice pairs for my... (read more)

I got to say it really could be better. I've been to a local mall with Claire's,its usually all goth and i am causual punk, how do i find my style? Wel your probably thinking ''got to another store duh!?'' well no cause first of all you might just not want to and second what if you have gift cards expiring soon, and no it wont just dance off like a balerena.!!!!!!!!! i suggest if you want real fashion go to places like Ardene,A (read more)

I bought a wallet at Claire's, the sales girl never mentioned anything about "special occasions"? accessories. So when I needed to return the wallet because none of my cards would fix, I was refused my money back. The sales girl took my receipt, made a circle with red pen and said that it meant I was told about their "special occasions" accessories policy. I told her NO it was never mentioned, besides she just made the circle herself right in front of me!. If I would had been told, I would... (read more)

ive always liked claires, if someone asked me 'what shop you want to go to first?' i'll say 'Claires!' claires is the only shop in chatham that sells alternative accsesories, i have nearly everything in there that i like (especially the gloves) someone asks me 'have you got these yey?' 'yepp' 'what aboutthese?' 'yepp' 'or these ones?' On may the 5th of this year myself and two of my friends decided to get our cartilage piered on our ear at Claire's. Everything seemed great, we got served pretty fast and the woman who pierced our ear wore cloves, cleaned the ear before the piercing and then marked our with a pen ear where we asked to earring to go. Iam lucky and able to wear any kind o earrings in my ears so i asked for a clear sterling silver stone stud but was given a pink sterling silver stone stud. When the girl pushed... (read more)

BUYER BEWARE! CLAIRE'S RETURN POLICY IS A JOKE AND THE QUALITY OF THEIR PRODUCTS ARE YOU-KNOW-WHAT! IF YOU ARE PURCHASING ACCESSORIES THAT ARE CONSIDERED "SPECIAL OCCASION," CLAIRE'S WILL NOT RETURN YOUR PRUCHASE BUT AT TIME OF SALE THE ASSOCIATE WILL FAIL TO MENTION THAT THESE TYPES OF ACCESSORIES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. MY PUCHASE INCLUDED SOME "SPECIAL OCCASION" BOBBY PINS OF WHICH I TRIED TO RETURN THE NEXT DAY. THE STORE MANAGER TOLD ME THEN THAT BECAUSE THE BOBBY PINS WERE "SPECIAL... (read more)

I personally work in one of these shops, and that policy doesnt exist, and especially because your clips were faulty you should have gotten either a full return or been able to exchange them. Once everything is in its original packaging it can be returned with a receipt within 28 days, except for pierced products and tights or leggings etc.

I recently visited Claire's in Silverburn and was very disappointed by the service I received. The staff were standing around talking to each other and having a good gossip on a busy Saturday afternoon. One girl was serving whilst the rest chatted. I waited in the queue for over 5 mins to get served. I asked another member of staff who was wearing the manager's badge if anyone else was serving as there was another till free but was met with a rude response telling me that the cashier was... Claire's accessories is the type of shop you go into to get some little bits for a party or special occasion that you don't want to pay too much for. The quality of the items is not very good the best items I would say are alice bands, gloves and earrings, necklaces, bracelets and other things I tend to stay away from because they do not last very long. The shops are tiny and crammed and when there are lots of people in them it can get very frustrating. Recently I have noticed the items are... (read more)

All of the items in the store are very appealing and fashionable. Some of the items, mainly earings, are uncomfortable and can cause rashes/infections. I think the main problem in Claires is that it is extremely overpriced and expensive if prices weree lowed then more customers would purchase objects. (read more)

I went to claires to have my ears pierced, the staff were very kind and welcoming and my had my ears all done in a matter of minutes it was a breeze and didnt even hurt.
They give you lotion to put on to stop them from getting infected and mine never did! would reccomend this shop to anyone, some of the earings and things are a couple of pounds over priced like a pair or earings once were £7.00 but i just go for the bargins!

Tamworth, England is good but also clutterd and a bit small. And my least Favorite store of claires is shrewsbury, England. I love visiting the shop but it is way too small.... (read more)

Having two teenage daughters I have spent a fair amount of time in Claires Accessories - what a lot of tacky rubbish! If it doesn't break the first time you wear it it goes green. The only things which are of any quality are SOME of the hair accessories - but even then they are very expensive. I love Claires it has some really nice stuff in there but for plastic jewellery I find it a bit overpriced. It has lots of styles for different people as well as a boys section and if I had the money I could buy most of the shop. There eyeliner is really good too and I'd be lost without it and they have other nice looking make up there too but I haven't tried those yet. Also all the shops near me are tiny so it's always a squash when you go in. (read more)

Lot's of glitz and glam. You have got all different styles, rock chick, girly girl, etc etc.....
The hair ties are ok, however i wouldn't buy jewellery from there.
Jewellery can sometimes turn green...I find it to be overpriced, however you can spot some bargains.
It's mostly for young teenage girls, not much for the older generation.
Overall, it's OK. Not good and not bad.

I like Claires, it's great if you need a piece of costume jewellery for an outfit. However, expect to only get around 3-4 uses before some of the metal jewellery becomes tarnished, loses it's shine and starts going black or green.
Also beware the metal jewellery if you have sensitive skin as it will turn you green and not with envy either!
The hair accessories are nice, if a little overpriced but you will always find a specific item you want, albeit not the best quality, you probably wont...
