General comments: This pacts a lot of information in Maria Costantino's The Handbook of Cat Breeds. Covers a little about history of cats, the anatomy of cats, their senses, genetics and then goes on to give a brief resume of the many cat breeds. If you have decided to buy a pedigree cat you could do a lot worse than use this as a reference book. It is easy to use - the cat breeds are in sections - long hair to short hair and incorporate a lot of the newer breeds and is illustrated with a lot of photographs. Though it indicated the RRP is £9.99, we purchased it for £4.99 from a local bookshop, it is available on various internet book sites.
