I love this place and always try to go every month. There is a wonderful old school charm about the Rhydspence that makes it different from your usual modern gastro pub. Definetely worth traveling to. I know some people don't get it, but I think that is was makes it so different. (read more)

Rhydspence Inn feels to me like a bit like a 1970's revival! Food is ordinary and occasionally quite bad. Prices like many places in the area are high. A place with great potential and beautiful site but cooking is neither cutting edge or simple basic at a sensible price. (read more)

Rhydspence Inn is a beautiful, very historic inn; the old part of which was built in 1370, and it located in wonderful countryside. It is well fitted and decorated, and guests are made to feel very welcome. The food, wines and service are good, and the overall bill was most acceptable. We shall return as other guests do.
Recommended to those that enjoy a real country inn.

Rhydspence Inn is in a wonderful country setting serving delicious and original food. Built in 14th century it is classic 'Black and White' Inn but with a something extra. Has an excellent restaurant serving food that is a cut above anything else locally. I love this place as it has a class about the food and drink that you can't find very easily these days. All this without being pretentious or overly expensive. Well worth a trip. (read more)
