Good Points: The Huge 15.4 widescreen is absolutely great, The 3 USB ports are essential the Built in Harmon Kardon speakers sound very good for a laptop. The HP total care software is a valuable resource great for novice PC users. The AMD mobile processor is very fast, the Nvidia graphics card lives up to the Nvidia reputation. The on-off built in pointer is a nice touch.

Bad Points: Too much bundled software the Norton Antivirus software is not really a great addin.

General comments: HP Pavilion ZV5220US: I've been using another laptop for a couple of years now, and I'm very impressed with this laptop, the DVD-CDRW player is a great device - very quite and stable. I was able to find a Backpack to carry it in, big change from the huge carrying case my other laptop had. Very mobile laptop.

I've built my own desktops for a while now, so the HP Pavilion ZV5220US is my first laptop. I was a bit wary at first because the clock speed of the Athlon XP-M 3000+ processor is only 1.6 GHz, but so far it can handle multiple threads and multi tasking without any significant slowdown.

The computer has a 15.4" wide screen aspect, which is excellent for watching widescreen movies and viewing web pages with NO scroll bars. For video hardware it does have a genuine nVidia video card, but onl ...
