“Holiday ”

★★☆☆☆

written by SethDixon449 on 08/11/2023

I have 28 days holiday And so far only taken 18 days holiday this year Which logically if anyone can calculate would still leave me with 10 days Yet Manpower say I only have 5 days Obviously they can’t calculate 18 + 10 = ?

“Manpower missing payments ”

★★☆☆☆

written by MariaGuerreiro on 11/06/2022

I finish my job with Manpower company and I am still waiting on for my first week work money pay and I asked for it ever and ever again. The company where I was working already paid Manpower in January and I still don’t have my money. And we are speaking here about 4 full working days payment missing. And also I didn’t get paid for the anual leave that I am entitled for and I have worked with Manpower for 4 mouths and didn’t use even 1 annual leave day. I was told that I was being paid this week for my missing payments and yet another week just finished again and not a penny was dropped in my bank account. I will return with another review and let you know how my history with Manpower ends.

“Cant even tell you pay before you agree to contract”

★☆☆☆☆

written by danielroulston on 23/10/2021

It was a very strange call I got from Proman asking if I still wanted a job I applied for. This is what happened. A woman called me from Proman asking if I was still interested in a job I applied for, I asked for information on the job as I've applied for a few with different companies and not sure which this is. The lady huffed and said she needs to open another file for the information. A few seconds later, she starts to read the description of what the job is. When she stops I say "thank you but it's really the pay, hours and shift rota I need" she replied, and I'm still trying to get my head around this....."I don't have that information, you would have to accept the job to know that" and when I asked could they get the information and call me back because, im interested but I can't accept a roll without knowing what I'd be paid for it, she replied "no, this is all the information we have". So......they want me to accept a job offer, go to an interview..... BEFORE I know what hours/ pay / which days are on offer to work??? So to the company in Liverpool asking for FLT drivers.....I think the reason your short on staff is the agency your using.....I don't know anyone that would accept a job.....without knowing what you'd get paid for said job.

“Face Interview faults”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Fredericke306 on 14/10/2016

On the telephone interview, which was the day before the face interview, was fine. I was accepted with the right telephone manner and requirements. But the face one was like a different company. The guy gave me a look as if I wasn't what he accepted, don't know why I look modern and young for my age. Then I ESS made to do a computer test on a laptop which I wasn't shown how to properly use ,and I havebot used a laptop like it before. I was told the computer wasn't working. This initially slowed me down, but I still managed to pass. Then I did a test, but the interview was not good as I could not apply STAR system to question on working in a team. Difficult. But I really was not happy re being asked to give bank details prior to being told if I had the job of not. I did refuse SNF was glad of that. Enough information is given to them, we should not give bank details without being given the job. Manpower has shocked me , I also had to ask re holidays. I will not apply with them again. This was for Eon power.

I refused to attend my RBS job interview as I felt like I'm a piece of garbage. Man power set an interview for me to RBS. When I attended my interview to RBS direct they send me home as they not aware about my interview appointment. I called Man Power the agent on call not even apologized to me and they need to set another day for my interview. Having said that Man Power should inform me about cancelling my interview instead of wasting my time and efforts travelling to the venue. For me first impressions last and I know for sure If I need something about my holiday It's definitely a fight and a nightmare booking a time off.

I couldn't agree with you more. I had the most unbelievable experience with Manpower. After passing all their interviews, face to face, telephone, spelling (!), written and computer skills, they then questioned how I'd supported myself financially during an eight month period when I was not in work nor claiming benefits. They wanted to see documentary evidence to support my reasons. After refusing to supply this personal information and stating it was an unnecessary invasion of privacy I was called into the office two weeks into the contract. By then I'd had enough of this poorly managed agency and resigned.

“Went to an interview and got offered the job in...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by EdMorrow on 01/08/2016

Went to an interview and got offered the job in principle based on credit check and CRB. I decided to check my credot report my self to see if anything could possibly stand in my way and to do this I used both Call Credit and Equifax who both showed no CCJS or bankruptcies. A lady rung me today to tell me I failed because I had lied to her about having no CCJ!? I explained to her that this was incorrect and she just argued with me and didn't even offer to look into it or or find me another job. Anyway the long and short of ot is she disclosed credit file info with verifying my identity over the telephone and then rest is as above.

“told I had a second interview by her colleague ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Corab362 on 11/07/2016

Went for first interview, went really well, company told me they would let my recruiter know within a week as they had a few others to see. Phoned Manpower after a week, my recruiter was on holiday. Was told I had a second interview by recruiter's colleague as my name was on the board??, and she(my recruiter) would ring on the following Monday to arrange second interview. After no call on the Monday, rang back on the Tuesday, my recruiter told me she knew nothing about it as she had only just returned to work and she would get back to me shortly... Decided to go elsewhere in the mean time as didn't feel confident with her promises, oh and I'm still waiting for that return call two weeks later lol

“Rude and Disrespectful ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Savannau1983 on 30/03/2016

This is a horrible company to have to deal with. If you are looking for a recruitment agency and want to feel respected and valued don't even waste your time with these guys. I was treated like I was absolute garbage by the woman I spoke to on the phone and I will not be dealing with this company again.

★★☆☆☆

written by nigol255 on 03/01/2016

Signed up to do HGV driver work was offered only van and an odd last stuck in a warehouse minute shift was also told I couldn't drive by someone. When there is obviously plenty of work find this to be insulting. found them to be very slow to do anything also did not receive any holiday pay would only use again as last option. Agents preconceived about people, gossiping, ectr.. And if you sign up watch out for your holiday pay vanishing

“Awful agency! Awful service! Awful conduct!”

written by Kadinq491 on 04/12/2015

If you're looking for a job, don't bother with this agency. They treat their employers horridbly! You are just another number. If you value respect, this isn't the place for you. They won't be in the game for long if they carry on like this.

“Clueless”

★☆☆☆☆

written by 1966Dickey on 05/10/2015

This agency is by far the worst I have tried to work for, turn up for induction, no one knows what's going on, told to turn up today, no one knows what's going on again, so far I've given them 4 hours of my time and I still don't know what hours, what money or where the work is. They are a shambles, do not use.

“Seemed to be all over the place!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by bouncer45 on 24/09/2015

Had to go into agency for interview but then never heard anything back. In the end unregistered from agency as it never got me any interviews or jobs. I would describe the service as ok whilst in the shop, but once out of it the lack of feedback or contact from the recruiter was very poor. Not worried at all about candidates it appears.

BEWARE OF ZERO HOURS CONTRACT JUST A NUMBER OR LIVE STOCK TO SLAUGHTERED.... Worst agency on earth. I am surprised. How can this agency suck blood out of innocent people who are desperate for jobs. I urge not to fall for this agency. There have contracts with BT, i worked for them and if you want to avoid taking antideppresants, betablocker, constant migraines, stress. Work every saturday and sunday.Work late shifts. Working at BT manpower manager will follow you to toilets. Bt managers and manpower are both the worst then each other. Cannot book any holidays. Believe me there are other jobs. Manpower and BT your time is running out. Stop abusing your staffs like it is in third world countries. This job is been bad dream. Bt´s stats are like even super computer cannot hit it. Those idiots sitting at top does not know what is going on below. Stop fooling your customers your boat will be sinking like titanic. Finally Manpower is 21st centuary**** SLAVERY******* You have been warned.

“Manpower is goo”

★☆☆☆☆

written by zrCrockett10 on 06/07/2015

i have found the company terrible u get passed from pillar to pillar without your problem or issue being resolved like the customers of bt the employees all unhappy with manpower and the way they seem to get treated is shown by the high turnover of staff every 3 months have had complsints from parents who say bt as a company does not cater for parents and lone parents are far by the worst to b treated as manpower says business needs which is reiterated by bt so basically there is no work life balance and the most horrible people skills ever i certainly will not work for bt or manpower again or even b a bt customer ever again as i hated working for a business which really doesnt give a damn about me as an employee and a customer but make me life difficult resulting me in me not investing with bt ever again or its services because how it treats everybody as a profit and no loyalty to employees or customers but use and abuse seems to be bts policy as well as manpowers as well hate working for this employer and am reporting to watchdog and  ceo of bt and manpower its all about sales and profit nothing regarding employee or customer

“manpower/ Unite /Bombardier”

★★☆☆☆

written by AshtynNoble98 on 16/06/2015

i worked for manpower in bombardier for 4 years. Everything was great untik it came to a redundancy. There were 1000 manpower workers and 4500 bombardier employees. Both Bombardier and mabpower were happy for selection for rwdundancy to be across the board based on time keeping and attendance to keep the best workers to turn the buisness around. However the Unite union who manpower workers are members insisted manpower workers went first in any redundancy program and the bombardier relucantly agreed. This means good time keepers and good workers are forced out while people with poor timekeeping and attendance are kept and this will not help turn around the company in a dire situatiin. Because most manpower workers blame unite and not bombardier or manpower they are now leaving the Union as they are fed up the way unite are treating them. Otherwise manpower are great to work and the manpower worjers dont blane manpower for this disgraceful situation.

“Shocking worked at EON”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Danielsbw378 on 14/06/2015

Was employed by manpower to work at EON. Was my first call centre base job and last. they expect you to be like robots. 5 minutes over your break for the week and you will be given a warning. 10 minute break which take you 2 minutes to walk to the toilet and cafeteria. if you like to be a robot this is the job for you and they have a "helpful" member from manpower on site but you will never get to see them as you will not have any time and they are not lenient aswell. do not go for just a warning.

“Incopetent”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Kimberlyk203 on 31/05/2015

I applied for BT Newcastle September 2014. I have never had a worse interview experience. The first telephone interview was earlier in the year with "Vicky Pollard." She said I had the job before I did the Computer test. I postponed an operation on my hand to take the job; then I was told I needed to do the computer test. At BT Newcastle I waited 2 hours after my scheduled time. The thug man on the reception said he had called through but I was watching him; he hadn't. The lady interviewer was obviously bored with her job and yawned. Please do not take a job with Manpower Agency! :-)

When I was 17, I was offered a job by Manpower and completed an induction day before they phoned me to say that they just realised that I'm under 18 and so cannot employ me. I never got paid either.
