Good Points: It is great value for money. Great spec
Bad Points: Paint job
General comments: I have had this for a good few months now and even friends who have bikes triple the price love it. The spec is good and not much has been compromised for the money. The only thing is the terrible paint job that chips far too easily.

Go for it, the comp model is very much worth the extra 150 notes over the rockhopper disc model.. the forks are brilliant.

This bike has been ridden hard on rough (stony and rooted) single track, technical single track, deep rutted down hill, monster climbs and XC trails. As stated above the tyres fitted as standard to this bike are not favourable with British winter conditions but even with this lack of grip factored in the Specialized Comp has behaved it's self impeccable (apart from the occasional mega wobble). The Specialized Rockhopper Comp is a Great frame. I have mine with a rock-shocks Judy XC front suspension & have a great handling. Great Specialized tyres. 24 gears Shimano deore LX (low maintenance)
