We stopped over for a rest on our way from Europe to Australia and wanted a bit of luxury. This hotel is now called Harbour Grand Kowloon. It was certainly luxurious, and even very spacious by Hong Kong standards. However, it's in the Hung Hom area, near TST, which is not the classy side of Hong Kong - we know better and would stay in Central next time. (read more)

Harbour Plaza Hotel is such a lovely place to stay. It was recommended to me by a friend in the travel business who has stayed there many times. The room was a good size, the view of the Harbour was breathtaking and the staff can't do enough for you. The Harbour Plaza is in Hung Hom, which is lovely, and pretty quiet next to the hustle and bustle of Tsim Sha Tsui and Hong Kong island itself, but this means you have a place to relax when you want to get away from everything. Stayed for 4 nights at Harbour Plaza Hotel in March 2005. Service was great, food was amazing and the room was comfortable and large, with dual-aspect views of both Victoria Harbour and the port/sea.
The hotel is a little way out from the centre, but this is good as it is quiet and peaceful. The hotel offers a courtesy minibus to Tsim Sha Tsui every half hour (although taxis are so cheap, it hardly matters!)

I've booked Harbour Plaza Hotel on the Internet, an executive room in club floor with harbour view: very expensive accomodation.
The customer assistance was comic, some gifts that sounds like an offence, and a ridiculous purpose of discount, that I've refused.
No way: 5 star hotel, 5 star prices, 2 star assistance, 1 star answer, 0 stars problem solving.

We stayed for 5 nights at the Harbour Plaza Hotel with two harbour view rooms over Xmas.
The food is wonderful and service great. This is a very serious and professional hotel to an exceptional standard. I asked for transfer and was picked up by a Merc S500 limo both ways. This is about as best as you can get in service level.
The hotel is also near to a large and fantastic apartment block. We went to see a medium sized apartment and were priced at £2.8 Million!
Have to wait a while longer...
