I have been coloring my hair for over 30 years. I have tried every hair color product cheap to expensive and also salon coloring. Nothing compares to the price and quality of Colorsilk. I have used almost every range of color from the lightest to the darke4st auburn...I have just switched from light blonde now back to my natural medium auburn color (without the grey)....and as always I get the best results!
What would you have liked to know before you made your purchase?
Nothing! Revlon is a quality manufacturer since the beginning of Hollywood start...what else do you need to know!

My daughter has used Color Silk a lot; I work at Wal*Mart so I see A LOT of it sold, but I always said, "it's too cheap; it's going to hurt my hair." Well, after using the much more expensive stuff MANY times, I tried the Color Silk, and LOVED the color much better than what the others gave me. I have naturally medium brown hair with a little gray and use the medium ash blond coloring; it comes out a nice dark ash blond to light ash brown, and after a few shampooings, it lightens a bit more. I d ...

Revlon Colorsilk is the BEST color system for your hair I have ever had, and I have been doing my hair for over 40 years. Why can't I buy this product anywhere? What happened to it? It doesn't burn, itch or bother my scalp. It covers in the time it says, and the color is fantastic. When I was using this product I would go to church and people would say," your hair is beautiful". One of the members told me she thought it was my hair color. My stylist ask ME what product I was using. Revlon ...

I have dark hair and use the Revlon Colorsilk Ammonia Free medium brown 41. I also am trying to cover gray. What i found was that you need to leave it on much longer than the box states. I leave it on for an hour. I found this to last 3 weeks in the winter with no color oxidation. But since the sun oxidizes hair color i find in the summer at the 2 to 2 1/2 week mark i want to color it again. 2 weeks is really when hair should be touched up - but i do try and stretch as much time out of thi ...

I have just put my second bottle on in the past week. I thought I may have needed to leave it on longer with stubborn grey. I have just colored my hair and even wet I can see the grey in my hair part has not covered well. I am no amature and have colored my hair for over 30 years and every time I try Revlon Colorsilk Ammonia Free the results are just bad. Now tomorrow I have to go buy another brand.

I really thought this Revlon Colorsilk would suck when i opened the box. i laughed at the giant gloves they gave, that actually made me think " what a waste.. Cheap packet conditioner, crap gloves, " i regret saying that. i bought light golden brown and i have had an impatient time waiting for it to dry.I LOVE IT!ITS REALLY EFFECTIVE.

I used the Revlon Colorsilk medium rich brown shade.I have brownish black hair and after a lot of research and apprehension I applied this product.I kept it on for the exact time (25 minutes) and washed it. I realized there was not much difference as shown on the box as expected.I can see some color when out in the sunlight but overall I did not see any noticeable difference.I think it would work better for Grey cover up and not for giving a different shade to your hair. I must say though that t ...

Revlon Colorsilk Ammonia Free was cheap, which was good. The color sticked somewhat, so it was okay. After applying on the conditioner, it made it smell all nice and pretty, so I was satisfied with it, but then when I have to wash my hair the next day (the daily shower stuff) it totally tangled my hair! It made my hair feel all plastically and nasty! I regret buying this!

This is a great product! Although I do try other brands from time to time, I always come back to Revlon Colorsilk. I use the warm blonde shades, sometimes mixing shades, and I love the after color conditioner. Its scent reminds me of patchouli.

What I really wanted to say was that I wanted to thank Revlon for making a hair color at a price I could afford. I have long hair and plan on growing it even longer so buying hair color can and could get expensive. When coloring my hair, I realized that one box almost could have done the trick, as far as coverage went. but, I wanted to make sure that it was covered thoroughly. (I still think I could have done it with one box).
But, what I'm trying to say is that I can't afford eleven or thirtee ...

Always happy with results from Revlon Colorsilk Ammonia Free, very inexpensive, gentle. NO AMONIA I have been coloring my hair for many years and used everything out there. I really was reluctant to try this product because I thought it would be low quality because it was low in cost. I was shocked at the results. Love that it has no amonia. Now I won't use anything else.

Been using Revlon Colorsilk Ammonia Free for years. Every now and then, have tried a different brand, but always come back to this one for the best results. Nothing compares! Inexpensive, easy to use, smells good, works great. I use 61 (Dark Blond), Wish there was just a little more in the bottle, as I have long hair.

I have been using Colorsilk for many years. I use the light auburn and being red it fades a bit....which makes the red so much more natural. I can't believe the price on this color brand.

Revlon Colorsilk Ammonia Free. Great product, great price!
It's always available at wal-mart for $3.00. It works as good as the other high-priced ones. I have used it for 20 years. And the best part is it's ammonia free, so your head and hair smell good not like chemicals right after you use it.

It is a good quality hair color at an astounding price for those of us who "do it ourselves." It is no less or more complicated to apply than the more expensive brands. The fact that it is a non-ammonia formula is also a plus.
