Good Points: It takes 6 people.
General comments: Have had my Citroen C8 for 18 months, in that time I have had problems with the sliding off side door opening by itself while the car was parked. An ignition key that was not recognised by the car. Replacement took 6 months to come from Citroen. Now the automatic gearbox had lost its gears. An MPG of 28.2 is not good news at today's fuel prices.

Good visible view, high up. Easy to maneuver. Lots of room. Plenty of accessories and boxes to store things, cooler an excellent idea. Really comfortable on long journeys. Can't believe all the bad reviews people should write when its good as well which we are very happy with and would recommend to anyone.

We bought our first brand new car, as we had a young family, and wanted a reliable practical car. Within 1 week, it was back in the garage, and has been in and out since. You name it, it has broken. On the start of a road trip to Italy (very brave) we got 1 mile from our home and the gear box went. It cost us £600 in plane tickets as a result. We have had a constant leak in the driver sun roof from day one, which has been seen by two different dealerships and still not fixed. On our return ...

I have a love-hate relationship with my Citroen C8. On the one hand it was the most practical and refined large MPV on the market when I bought it. On the other hand I do not feel that I can rely on it.
It seems Citroen had a really good idea but then failed to implement it well.
Not good enough Citroen!

After having a Citroen C8 Exclusive 2.2 Hdi for 3 years it is the best MPV I have owned. A few niggles along the way which were sorted out under warranty. Leaves the Ford Galaxy and Vauxhall Zafira looking dull and boring.

I have owned this Citroen from new and all I can say that its was the biggest waste of a car I have ever bought. Tyres that wore down after 10,000 miles. Doors that didn't shut properly, air con that had a mind of its own, so did the electric windows, seats that broke, handles all the chrome came off within months from new, engine oil sensors that didn't work, brake pad warning that didn't work, drivers seat that fell apart, seat belts that had to be replaced, that many recalls I lost count, in ...

The Citroen C8 Exclusive 2.2 Hdi would be a very good car if it worked. Faults under 3yr warranty included: failure of central locking (dealer fixed bad earth), rear wash water squirted into car lining (fixed myself), mirrors don't unpark correctly (dealer can't fix), engine smell (dealer fixed at great expense to him), failure to start - towed to dealer by AA (dealer took weeks to fix - replaced ECU and wiring loom at great expense to him), tailgate flaked (dealer replaced), spurious air bag an ...

The Citroen C8 Exclusive 2.2 Hdi is powerful and reliable. Top safety kit too!
Overall very pleased, just bought a replacement. A lot of car for your money and I have found the C8 to be most reliable.

Brought car from dealer, almost immediately faults started, after about six months all the silver door handles and tail gate bar started to loosen the plastic coating peeling off had to be all replaced. Two door blinds replaced as Citroen had also modified them. Had new servo as all wheels had locked up which meant engine had to be taken out and a very long wait with out a car. Lots of on board warnings one major one is diesel filter blocked after several visits to dealer they came to conclusion ...

On the whole, the positives outweigh the negatives - we have thoroughly enjoyed 3 years with the Citroen C8, and are about to renew it. The electrical doors are a major factor compared to competitors, making access to rear seats easier in narrow paring spaces, and there being no dangers of sliding doors slamming shut on little fingers.

We bought a new Citroen C8 nearly eight months ago.
We were very pleased with it at first. We found it to be a good comfortable drive. The flexibility with the seats was extremely helpful. The kids enjoyed the electric doors!
But then it rained..... Our leaking sunroof...

The Citroen C8 is beset by all sorts of problems anybody considering buying any of cars in this range you should think very carefully. Applies to 807 Peugot and Fiat Ulysees all have a reputation for problems.

My Citroen has had a problem with the brake servo after only 73,000 miles. Beware when buying these cars, as they were built for overseas and were not converted properly for right hand drive, something that would take 3.5 hours labour, can take upto 25 hrs, due to the fact that they have to take the engine out to change a part that costs £150. Do not buy this car unless you want high repair bills.

Citroen C8 Exclusive 2.2 Hdi People Carrier Review.
The automatic would not go into park
The lights got stuck on
The alarm would constantly go off
Airbag faults would come on intermittently
Screen wash would come out of the rear stereo speaker... electrical and hence frightening for my 5 year old
Sun roof would not always close
The windows would occassionally all open when leaving the car locked! Unfortunately it was never stolen
The seats would not come out, then they would not go back ...

The Citroen C8 Exclusive 2.2 Hdi People Carrier is a well thought out people carrier that feels safe and secure to drive. The automatic box is smooth with good gear ratios, the brakes are superb as is the steering, it's a doddle to park. The diesel engine once warmed up is quiet, there are no wind noises on the motorway. I can honestly find nothing to moan about with this vehicle and would recommend it to anyone.

I love the riding position, and the general layout of my Citroen C8 Exclusive 2.2 Hdi People Carrier but it has a lot of problems. I have had 7 sun roof motors, 2 Turbo's, 3 sets of tyres (because tracking and alinement of front and back axles are set wrong all replaced. The service centre cannot do a service or repair without something else going wrong. When I asked for replacement vehicle, they wanted to charge me £1500 to replace with a vehicle of similar age (and potentially similar fau ...

I had a Citroen Synergie, and when we changed our caravan to a larger one, we needed a car with a bit more "oomph". Citroen C8 Exclusive 2.2 Hdi here I come! It is beautiful to look at, easy to drive, manoeuvre and park. All singing, all dancing. No need to switch on and off the lights - the cars sensors do this for you. No need to switch on and off the windscreen-wipers - the car does this too. Two fully electronic keys which remember the seat settings, so no more fiddling with the seat a ...
