Good Points: Flexible, customizable, initial cost is low, overall an advanced accounting software.

Bad Points: Lack of support documentation,
    After sales

General comments: The J.M. Accura Software itself is pretty advanced and well designed. However it is not better than more well known software like MAS90, Great Plains or similar. I can say it is as good as them. Initial cost seems very reasonable but as an old customer of ACCURA In my opinion the product has a lower initial cost but after the sale support Is expensive an time consuming. I feel there is insufficient training documentation about the product, YOU HAVE TO call the company for almost every single question about the software. Do not worry there will be many questions you will need to ask during and especially after implementation and at $150/hour for support it costs a fortune for basic, simple answers and explanations which should be included with the software support documentation. The documentation software is very insufficient and this will cause you thousands of dollars in support time for real basic issues that you may encounter daily. For detailed software like this the total documentation is very poor and brief.

If you ever want to customize the software, they will charge high development fees that are well above industry standards. I personally checked with outside software developers many times, a simple development work like adding an additional field to a window which would take only couple of hour's development or less could easily cost you 10-15 hours at $125 per hour with ACCURA software.

I feel our company made a mistake by using ACCURA. Go with one of the well known software with reputable agents or resellers. A reseller that is local can help a lot. Make sure the software comes with enough training documentation and support material and most importantly do not fall for the low initial cost.
