    Good Points: Excellent picture, very good build quality.


    Bad Points: In my opinion boring design, not ugly, but boring.


    General comments: The Iiyama ProLite E431S is an excellent all round screen, very robust feel and can handle an office enviroment.

    I have the model up from this one the E435S, and it is fantastic. Before, I had a silver one which was originally bought as a display model, but it had a line of pixels missing. We contacted Iiyama and they were extremely helpful and efficient and replaced the monitor with a brand new black one, which has been fine up to now, touch wood. Picture quality is great, contrast, brightness and colour is fantastic, especially as I'm a keen gamer and an art student that is quite important. Was very good ...

    I wanted a monitor that would be good for accurate colour work as I do graphic projects now and then; a fast response time so watching DVDs and playing games was smooth; both DVI and VGA inputs; 17 inches.
    There were other 17 inch monitors that were cheaper than this Iiyama ProLite E431S (I got mine for £195) but none of them offered such a good spec. In fact, the next monitor up with a slightly better quality was over £250. There is nothing, as of writing, in the same price bracket ...

    Iiyama ProLite E431S - This is a superb monitor with a bright, crisp, sharp display in all resolutions as well as its native one of 1280x1024. Unlike other monitors, running the monitor at 1024x768 doesn't have much impact on the quality of the image and in fact it's an absolute joy to use with games that don't support 1280x1024. The colours are vivid and the screen has DVI input, which makes the already superb picture even better.

    Having researched on the net for a month or so, the Iiyama ProLite E431S came out on top of my wish list.
    The monitor has a very fast response rate, connectors for audio and both DSub and DVI which was important.
    After unpacking it, plugging it in was straight-forward and a clear stable image was presented on the screen. After installing the supplied drivers and using the supplied setup guide, I viewed a sample DVD and experienced no blurring or artefacts.
