OH DEAR.......OH dear....just when Downey turned over to US BANK....a $27.00 bounced check turned into "over 300.00" in fees....stolen monies ...USARY
it doesn't matter how or why.....(not my primary account)...it's USARY...I know there will be a lawsuit looming soon...I will be the first to sign up......
when I spoke to the bank manager...not one dollar of fees was reversed...it was "tough"

Where do I start?? First of all, my husband and I were tricked into getting a home mortgage with US Bank because they insisted they had a better deal because if we set up a Five Star Platinum account then we would get 25% off our loan origination fee. The loan officer told us to wait until the last minute to set up the platinum account because otherwise we wouldn't qualify. Great - $900 sounded good to us. When it came time to close (over a month later because it took so long for the loan office ...

I have recently been switched from Pomona First Federal (PFF) and had an online bill pay account , but NONE of my records prior to April 15, 2009 were saved. I have been told that none of these records can be retrieved. Unfortunately, your bank statements do not show Payees for online banking. only that funds were expended. So, if you were counting on these records for tax purposes, etc. they are not available. Customers were NOT informed that this would happen, it just did. Talk about poor cu ...

U.S. Bank has extremely poor customer service. They will get big zero If the bank close your account before you know it. Especially you are with them 24 years and with the reason "irregular activity". Still they can not explain why...I don't know why..All I know I don't have a account with them. After all I guess it's good for me.

After reading these reviews, it's so funny to see everyone complains about overdraft fees! I've has a bank account at both US Bank and Bank of America for years while I've been a college student. I overdrafted once and it was not a bank error. Fortunately, I am constantly on top of my banking and realized this before any daily overdraft charges were accruing. If others were responsible with their finances, they would not need to come online to complain about their "hundreds of dollars lost". How ...

US Bankcorp customer service sucks, no help, had to call 3 different banks. you don't know how to help customers, you're rude. $8.00 a day for overdraft protection. Give me a break. I went over by $.52, and didn't get a letter in the mail for 2 weeks! Thats' over $50. You're bank takes hard workers money. I will never have anything good to say about this bank and will be taking my banking elsewhere.

The US Bank is located in more than one state and solve the problem of banking, for me. But I only have an account there because they are in two states I do business in.

The whole banking system is bad in the USA because of the failing dollar and the Banker's control of our Government because of the Banks "Power of the Purse." J.P. Morgan said in 1913 that "let me control the money and I don't care who is elected in Government."

I think the US Bank should modify its overdraft charges if they want to have customers. I have just closed my account with them. The overdraft fees was three times the actual overdraft amount since they charge you $7.00 a day. TCF Bank does not charge you like US bank-they do have an overdraft fee but I do not think it is charged on a daily basis. Choose some other bank-do not pay the overdraft charges that US bank uses to make its money! Also, be careful of the products that you use from US Bank ...

My branch bank has been great to me. Very helpful.
Customer service is great. It happened to me by mistake that I was few dollars in negative and US bank charged me for that, of course.
It was my mistake, but I was surprised when my branch called me and offered me help explaining that system might be just machine, but they are humans and they are willing to help. They cleared my negative after I've explained how it happen and they assured to me that I can always come and talk to them if someth ...

I would never ever recommend this bank to anyone. There customer service is okay, but their turn over rate for branch employees is extreamly high. Not to mention half of the time they can't explain why or what you are being charged. My suggestion to anyone who has an account with them is print your online view every day, so when they go changing things around you can prove them wrong. They are constantly waiting for any problem with your account to start charging overdraft fees, and folks, i ...

Yes, U.S. Bank charges large overdraft fees, but I have overdraft protection, which did not cost me anything. The employees at the branches are always friendly, and after shopping a number of banks for my home equity line, u.s. Bank was the best. Other banks charged origination fees, or closing costs, or an annual fee. U.S. Bank had the lowest rate and no costs.

I have had a bad experience like other guys. I made 1 overdraft, but I was charged a fee 2 times. I had to email for the explanation. They said "sorry for the confusion" and told me that I was charged the 2nd time because some gas stations run $1.00 for credit authorization. What the heck? I don't drive! I don't care whatever it is, because I did not make that transaction. It took days for U.S. Bank to reply to my email. Guess what? They charged me $7.00 each day, for the negative balance while ...

Despite the poor reviews of U.S. Bank (U.S. Bancorp) on this site, I have had only positive experiences. But then again, I don't overdraw my account. All banks will charge overdraft fees. This is not unique to US Bank.

US Bank's customer service at both branch locations and the 24 hour call center has dropped a great deal since I became a customer 4 years ago. They take longer than most banks to free up funds from checks and deposits which, if you are a dynamic banker or have a business, can quickly place your account in overdraft even with funds deposited. They are always very quick in taking fees to even the minor problem. Stay away from US Bank and the bogus Five Star service. Even employees don't keep thei ...

The U.S Bank has a great nack of charging you overdraft on pending payments. Say you use your Check Visa Card at a hotel and they run your card for 100.00 for room insurance. Now this charge is never going to go through unless you damamge the room but US Bank will show it as a pending withdrawal and this pending withdrawal effects your available balance which is the balance they go off of for NSF. So now you have 100.00 being taken out of your balance that means if you use your card later that d ...

The U.S. Bank are unwilling to close a loan after the loan was paid off and the required fees where paid. Four attemps later they are still refussing to close the account and continue to charge fees on a personal loan with a $0 balance.

    U.S. Bank
Example: Bank teller advised that deposited funds from a well-known investment company would be available the next morning. I informed rep that it was critical that I have the money or I would not make the deposit, I would cash it elsewhere. Funds were not released until a week later causing me extreme financial problems & additional expense. I called customer service many times. One rep told me that any outstanding checks would clear, although funds were on hold. Again, false inform ...
