Had this fridge freezer for over 4 years now and apart from the light having gone twice and replacement bulbs being very expensive, had no problems at all. Temperature holds well in both fridge and freezer, nothing has broken even with two teenage kids going in and out all day. (read more)

Had the FF for about 3 months and it started making weird noises so I moved it around a little bit as suggested in the manual. It has continued making different noises,whirring, freezing items in the fridge, then getting back to normal and something else happening for the last 5 years. Have had Samsung engineer twice and when he calls the noises have stopped. He nearly replaced the compressor once as the noise had stopped so he didn't. Replaced something else on next visit. The Samsung RL 39W BSW is the only fridge freezer I've ever owned with problems except for like 7 or 8 year old ones. This lasted 10 months so I would stay well clear.

If you buy one keep your tin cupboard well stocked and get in some powdered milk and plenty of food delivery menus. Like us, I'm pretty sure you will need them at some point! (read more)

Two door shelves have broken off my Samsung RL 39W BSW, also the ice cube maker and one of the salad drawers. Can I replace them? NO! Not anywhere. I will never ever buy a Samsung domestic appliance again. good but door shelves and the drawers are not built to last don't expect to be able to get many spare parts for this. (read more)
