I have just returned from 12 nights at the Reef Oasis Beach and I have to say that I really liked it. It is however not without its faults but nothing that ruined the holiday in any way. This was my 8th holiday in Egypt in the last 5 years so have had a bit of experience as to what to expect. What winds me up from peoples reviews is when they start moaning that a hotel " is no way a 5 star", well of course its not 5 star UK, its 5 star Egypt...deal with it! Anyway, the good bits..... The hotel itself is quite large and they have little golf buggies running up and down the main drag to save you walking to the beach etc which is a nice touch. Staff are very friendly and helpful and you won't get any hassle from the onsite shop owners. The local drinks are not too bad, I would go as far as saying their lager (Saqqara) is very good although not too strong. The hotel rooms are more than adequate and clean. Our toilet stopped working and they fixed it very quickly. Beach and pools are great and the snorkelling is some of the best I have done in Egypt. The beach restaurant is good although they pretty much do the same thing daily, chips, pizza and fish sticks, but that was fine and convenient if you are on the beach and need a bite. They also have waiter wandering up and down the beach taking drink orders wich I also liked. The entertainment I could take or leave personally. They have to cater for multiple nationalities and that makes the job rather difficult and under the circumstances they probably do a good job, but its not for me. In a nutshell the complex as a whole is lovely and I never felt crowded even though the hotel was full. Now here are my little whinges...The food in the main restaurants weren't as hot as it should be so you sort of get used to lukewarm meals. I found the variety OK considering how many they were catering for but it just wasnt hot enough. Tea and coffee facilities are not in the room and are charged extra if you want this, which I though was a bit stupid as its free at the bar. Same goes for the mini bar / fridge in the room which was empty, even a bottle of water on arrival in the fridge would have been a help. These complaints may sound a bit paltry but I have had them everywhere else I have stayed. Internet access is available but again is charged for and not particularly cheap but I guess thats a choice we have to make! The main gripe is the food though.

One thing about Egypt, drink plenty of fluids. A lot of people get unwell and blame the country but sometimes its about managing dehydration. You can't drink too much water out there! And PLENTY of sun cream.

Anyway, Reef Oasis Beach...would I go back...Absolutely and I plan to go again next year.

staff here were very good no problems with them at all. the weather was excellent and the staff were great but the food left much to be desired. this hotel caters for the italians who were welcomed with loud music and excitement we were met with nothing and the same when we left.Cuba knocks spots of that place, will not go back there again.water park being completed so noisy.

Myself and my girlfriend went on this holiday expecting to have a very relaxing trip and we were pleased that our expectations were met. However there are some small points which I feel would have been beneficial for me to know before booking into this hotel. Firstly the food, unfortunately there is not enough choice, even at the end of a week I felt that I had pretty much eaten the same food each and every day. Also at times it is like a stampede

Overall we have had a fabulous holiday here, but just a few small points have niggled me enough to write this.
My little boy loved the food, plenty of bacon and eggs in the morning and burgers and chips or pasta at lunch! great, however my little girl is a different story! She ate very little all holiday and suffered from bad stomach ache as a result. There were not enough 'plain choices' for her to have. She was great the nights we booked into the Italian restaurant as she had spaghetti bologna ...

Still has a lot of potential - provided the standards of the previous years are returned too and the resort is not allowed to deteriorate further.

As we have been to this complex last year in May, my view's from then and now have changed a hell of a lot.
To start with there was black hairs in the shower and the bath room floor. The food well it looks nice, but no taste. The meeting I had with the Manager Director, well he said its not up to a 5 star hotel its only a 3 star, so that says it all.
We where planning to go back next year with the family, but that is not going to happen now.

Impressed with the complex, would consider going back if the inclusive restaurants improved. Very clean, polite staff, fantastic weather.

We went to the Reef Oasis Beach Resort in May School Holidays and had a fantastic time. The staff were really friendly and helpful and great with the kids. Even though we were in half term it still wasn't difficult to get sun beds as there are so many pools to choose from.
The restaurants had a large range of food and a kids table although it was always something and chips! but then there was always the main buffet they could choose from too. We never had a problem getting a table even though th ...

Overall I think it was an amazing place. I love the peolpe over there and the hotels were astonishing. The pools were lovely with their cool blue waters. I am hoping I am coming back to this place next year.

Very nice and enjoyed holiday but the food needs to be looked at. I would say it is a four star hotel, as the service is not good and the problem with the food, same every day. If this was addressed it would make such a difference to the holiday as the hotel is really lovely. Returned 1 may 2008

My husband, myself and our friends went to Reef Oasis Beach Resort last May, and we had a lovely time, could not complain about anything, so when I read some of the remarks some people make, I can not believe the things people complain about. If you want fish and chips then stay in England, we are going back in September and looking forward to it. All looks perfect and it is and I have been before.

I had an amazing time at Reef Oasis Beach Resort, I went with a group of 26. The rooms are lovely and spacious, views are breathtaking down the beach. I went in November and the weather was scorching hot. I am going back there this year with an even bigger group of 40. The nightclub at the resort is laugh a minute and cannot be missed!! The staff were very helpful and efficient, I had a fall down the stairs when leaving the nightclub due to being drunk! I got taken back to my room on a buggy and ...

There are no good points for this hotel, apart from the weather. the meal, everyday the same you can eat in the restaurants. The assortment circumscribed on pizza, some Egypt cake an other meals that taste very bad.
All in all I would never advise this hotel for anyone mainly you would have a holiday trip with children.

Just got back and a bit dissappointed with this resort as the reviews I read were outstanding so was expecting great things.
But when we arrived our fridge wasn't working nor was our telephone so once they were fixed I requested an iron so I could iron our clothes so we could go to breakfast and after 8 phone calls and 5 hours the iron finally arrived......
The staff are very polite there though I must say but the resort is very limited as far as shops are concerned and is very expensive more th ...

Hi I am am just back from Reef Oasis Beach Resort and I wish I was there again. Best hotel I have ever been in, I went with a group of 8 friends and could not have asked for a better holiday. The service you receive off the staff is second to none. Hotel is spotless and great value for money, the only down side for me is the tummy bug I came home with, but would gladly suffer it if I could go back tomorrow

The Reef Oasis Beach Resort is a fantastic hotel with everything you could possibly need.
Our room was great. It had two double beds, a large shower, and was very clean. The staff were very friendly, we did tip one particuler waiter in the grill restaurant who looked after us all week.
Food was good with lots to choose from the main restaurant doing open air barbecues nightly as an extra choice.
The weather was really warm for December and will go back to this hotel again.

This is the only hotel we have been back to 3 years running and we are off there again for easter 2008. If diving is your thing you have the temple reef on your doorstep, no boat trips no charge and just fabulous. The fact that the resort is very Italian orientated is great because they do not accept 2nd best, and the fact that there are few Brits there is a definite bonus. The food can cause problems if you eat the washed salad beacause it is probably washed in filtered water, but in all the t ...
