Good Points: I bought it on eBay I got it cheap. Well, that's what you get...
Bad Points: screen does not turn on. I hear the movie but can't see it. Everything has to be done by remote try doing that while driving and your child screaming in the back because she can't see anything for 400 miles... disappointed customer.
General comments: Don't buy it

The AESO PDVD-8028 portable DVD player is a piece of garbage! Even the radio does not have reception. The DVD played only for 10 minutes.
There is no representative in the U.S. or anywhere mentioned on the box, or in the so called four page manual.

I bought my Aeso PDVD-8028 DVD player new direct from the manufacturer.
The sound jack broke in 2 weeks, and I can't use headphones and the CD/DVD reader failed in 2 months.

First of all I bought this of Ebay, but it was shipped direct to me from AESO in China, so almost definitely a brand new model.
The screen is great, good colours and resolution, never had any issues with dead pixels. Battery life is just over 3 hours on a full charge. Sound quality (through headphones) is terrific, through the speakers - awful. The controls on the player are as good as useless and most in movie controls have to be done via the remote - YOU CANNOT CHANGE OPTIONS ON THE MENU SC ...

The Aeso 8028 is good value for money. You get a portable dvd player with superb screen resolution; 800x480 which is better than most.
S-Video output, coaxial digital output and great compatibility with writable dvd formats.
Viewing angles were fine as was sound output from the tiny speakers.
The remote is needed for most functions as the controls on the player itself is basic.
Unfortunately the quality control at Aeso is poor. The first player had a faulty tray switch, the second and third ...

I found no problems at all and was very impressed with the Aeso PDVD-8028. The picture was clear. It worked straight away, no need to tune in or anything.
