Good Points: The Talayot is a fantastic hotel for people of aged 60 and over. Spotlessly clean and excellent friendly staff. Good location - only a couple of minutes walk to the beach.

Bad Points: Variety of food, pork nearly every night, older client le. Bedding never changed during our 1 week stay.

General comments: We (family of 4 kids aged 10 & 12) originally booked to stop in the Atalaya apt on half board basis but this was changed by Thomson and we were offered a week at the Talayot instead. We accepted and arrived on 24/05/2007. Lovely hotel from outside very clean and tidy, we dropped our cases off and went to dinner, where all of the guests were over 60. Most of them were friendly there was the odd few who didn't like the children playing in the pool as they splashed them (accidentally) and the rep was very snotty saying she didn't like children. The resort of Callor Millor is good if you don't like a lot going on but we found it difficult to entertain the kids as there wasn't much close by. All in all I would recommend this hotel for anyone over 60 (without kids).

The outdoor pool at Hotel Talayot in Majorca unfortunately seemed too shaded because of its position in relation to the hotel and the high number of mature trees in the ground. This resulted in over 70% of the pool area in shade at any one time. An indoor pool was available, which had a jet action similar to a Jacuzzi. There was a small charge via a meter, but the pool could be used free of charge without the water jets. A very good service was that beach towels were available free with a deposi ...

The Hotel Talayot in Majorca should rename itself to Hotel Geriatrics. I am 52 years old, but compared to most of the others I felt like a teenager. The staff were great and so was the food, but they should wake up and smell the coffee! Talk about boring!

The Hotel Talayot in Mojorca does not cater for children, which is very welcome for those of us who want a peaceful break. The general entertainment is good, with the exception of the Entertainment Manager. I have now been to the Hotel twice, and I am looking forward to going again for another peaceful and friendly holiday. The rooms are lovely, and the food is great. The overall service cannot be faulted. The hotel location is right on the seafront between Calla Bona and the start of Calla ...

    Hotel Talayot:
Nowadays, we always try to book a hotel that does not have many children's facilities, as we are the parents of grown up children and we like things a little quieter now, so this seemed the perfect place according to the brochures. Little did we know until we got there that we were the youngest there the first week (40, 41)! this by no means spoilt our enjoyment as I got lots of new nanas! The Talayot was the first to be built in Cala Millor and is in an ideal position, just arou ...
