    Good Points: Makes great toast.
    Food is crisp not burnt.


    Bad Points: It has a burning smell when it is Toasting.
    The sides become very hot when it is toasting. Some protective layers might help that.


    General comments: The Philips HD2603 metal toaster is a nice toaster with a few mistakes when it came out. It really makes your food crisp and very nicely browned. It does create an odd burning smell like the combination of metal and rubber. They might need to add something to prevent it from becoming much too hot. All together it is a fine product to have in your home.
