“Produces good images on the HQ setting - 32 images on...”

Written on: 08/10/2001 by Richard Aniolkowski. (1 review written)

Produces good images on the HQ setting - 32 images on 16 Mb smartmedia card. Easy to frame the subject in the optical viewfinder. In bright light the LED screen can be difficult to see (perhaps the same on all digital cameras). Good printed results on an HP840C, though not up to screen quality. Rechargable batteries are recommended since indoor shots using the red eye reduction mode eat them up. A lot easier to use than my Olympus OM1N and you don't have to wait to see the results. I was… Read Full Review

Good value for money and produces excellent photos. Using the camera for general photography and very close work and cannot be faulted. Camera feels solid when compared to Fuji and Kodak cameras which were alternatives I looked at. Has the usual digital camera problem of getting through batteries so rechargables are essential. If used at the higher resolutions available you need at least 32mb card to take a decent quantity of pictures… Read Full Review

“After looking at the digital camera market and...”

Written on: 29/08/2001 by Alan Woodroffe. (1 review written)

After looking at the digital camera market and comparing price and performance the Olympus C200 came out best for what I wanted. The only downside was the lack of user reviews because it is such a new camera. As my other camera is a Nikon, I wanted to ensure that the reproduction would be as good as possible for the price, and with the extras included by Internetcamerasdirect I am more than satisfied with the product. A phone call to Olympus' technical dept. was needed to find why the… Read Full Review

There is an option on the camera's menu that allows all of the settings to be retained when the camera is switched off. If you look in the full version of the manual that comes as a soft-copy on the CD it is explained in full.

Written on: 08/08/2001 by Andy Stables. (1 review written)

The Olympus C200 produces superb quality images up to 8"x10". No jaggies or pixelation at all when printed or viewed on screen. Macro mode works superbly, no barrel distortion. I totally advise everyone to buy this camera. It is the best quality I've seen anywhere at the price… Read Full Review
