Good Points: High speed rewind and search Good picture and sound quality Time remaining on tape feature Intelligent VideoPlus Clear easy to navigate menus Radio controlled clock
Bad Points: Automatic tuning needs refining
General comments: Overall, the Panasonic NV HV61EBS is an excellent Video Recorder. I couldn't get to grips with the automatic tuning though, so I switched to manual tuning, at which point it seemed to tune automatically! Picture and sound are above average, and once it's set up it's easy to use. It has lots of features which are clearly explained in the manual.
I took some persuading to buy a VCR, but I relented due to the sheer number of videos our family possessed without a working machine. I am glad I did though. It's still the cheapest way of recording TV programs.
