Stress cracks appeared on the windows within a year. Queried this and was told that they could not be repaired, I suggested this was a pricey UK product OH NO IT ISN'T, IT IS IMPORTED. Only the toasters are UK made and therefore we are being conned into buying something no better than any other but at inflated price. Now spout leaking. DO NOT BUY. COMPANY LOSING REPUTATION VERY FAST!

The Dualit 72022 Cordless Jug is an attractive design and good brand name; unfortunately let down by lack of support and spare parts.

There does not appear to be any official (or unofficial) means of obtaining spare parts and even a minor fault means the entire kettle and base has to be replaced.

I purchased a Dualit jug kettle 72022 to match my toaster in 2006 believing myself to be buying a quality product. It outlasted its guarantee of a year but started to leak from the plastic window and showed stress cracks after 2 years. There was often a large puddle around its base such that I felt it was dangerous to use. I contacted Dualit Customer services who merely told me to buy another one (no discount) from their range. Not even an apology or gesture of goodwill. I was appalled at their ...

Looks good, once out of warranty it started to leak around spout, spoke to Dualit customer service who claim it is not a design fault and I can buy another, no thanks.

We purchased a dualit jug kettle model 72022 around Nov 2007. About 14 months later it started to leak from the windows, which also appear to be suffering stress cracks, the leak is now (April 2009) so bad that he kettle is empty within 15 minutes. Have complained to dualit and their answer is to replace it with a new one that they are offering at 40% discount! From the huge amount of poor reviews this kettle has achieved dualit must surely acknowledge that this kettle is flawed and do the dece ...

Dualit 72022 cordless kettle, so convenient. It stands on the stand well. Lid won't fall off (ours sticks on quite firmly, so much so that we fill it through the spout) which is a good thing. Ours hasn't given us any difficulties in the 3 years or so we've owned it. In short, it's no different to any other half decent kettle. In fact, the only thing that makes it stand out from our previous kettle (a £25 Morphy Richards) is that the Dualit takes longer to boil (!), it's got a trendy ...

Like an idiot I thought I would buy a quality item from Dualite.
The knob on the lid of the Dualit 72022 Cordless Jug has broken and now it is junk,
It never poured properly because the pourer leaked,Good riddance!

Bought the red jug kettle 72401 (JKT3) in January 2008 - the spring in the on/off switch failed 14 months later. In line with other reviewers I phoned Dualit to find a repair shop or purchase a new spring. Was told it wasn't repairable and so for the sake of a 2p spring I am throwing a £60 kettle in the bin. Would not buy any more of their products and will advise friends etc of the very poor after sales service.

Soon after the guarantee ran out on my Dualit 72022 Cordless Jug Kettle, it started to trip the fuse board every time it was switched on. The kettle was purchased October 2006 and died in April 2008 although I didn't speak to Dualit until November 08 Dualit said it couldn't be repaired and as it was out of warranty all they could do was offer me a 25% discount on a replacement. I won't buy Dualit again

When I pay five times as much for a kettle such as the Dualit 72022 Cordless Jug, you expect it to last a bit longer or at least a couple years, nope not with this one, some design flaws in my opinion, namely the plastic used for the small window! Cheaper kettles do not have this problem maybe Dualit should contact them for the plastic formula or something! The toaster! humm, pay ten times as much and it doesn't toast properly on one side of both pieces, so form over function for both!

I have a Dualt it toaster so when I needed to buy a new kettle I bought the Dualit 72022 Cordless Jug to match. I purchased the kettle less than 2 years ago from Brown Thomas in Dublin for E99.00. The kettle is now ready for the bin. I cannot get a new part for it. When you spend this type of money on a kettle you'd expect it to last longer. Would not recommend.

We had this stainless/black jug kettle for 9 months (John Lewis). Initially, it occasionally switched off prematurely. The knack was to press the switch down hard. It settled down, but started doing it again at 9 months occasionally. More concerning were the stress cracks that were starting to appear in the side windows. JL did not want to exchange the kettle at first because it boiled when tested. However, I declared the item "not of merchantable quality" and threatened to use the small claims ...

Kettle went faulty after 9 months. Contacted Dualit, and they sent a new
one without question. They also informed me they would look into the
    problem.

    I will always buy Dualit
