This is one of the best blenders on the market, very strong, i truly like it alot, infact my small business depend on it every day 6 days a week, but Philips the brand are the daftest makers imaginable, the fruit filter cannot be purchased as a replacement, it has an item # but its cannot be bought as a spare. The filter will never last as long as the machine itself so those daft makers should think that the customer will at some point need a replacement, so in my case i have to buy another blender(just to get a filter) every 90 days because the fruit filter is gone and i cannot find a replacement. very silly of Phillips. i have been using this item for 4 yrs now.

The Philips HR1757 Cucina is a good blender and mixer including for dry spices and Indian cooking. Value for money.

After using this Philips HR1757 Cucina Blender, I think philips need to use a stronger plastis material to produce the fruit filter. when it does break apart, the metal pieces get into the juice.
i am at a lost to understand why philips wont make available, the fruit filter as a gettable part, whats the mystery i just don't know. i have bought 5 hr1757 blenders because i needed fruit filters.

I am now on my THIRD Philips HR1757 Cucina blender because the little plastic arm that connects the motor, has broken 3 times.
I use the blender rarely and gently.

I have been through two Philips HR1757 Cicina blenders. In the first instance the motor died after six months. The replacement I was sent lasted only two months. I was using this blender daily to make smoothies from soft fruits: there were still lumps of fruit in the smoothie. Considering the fruits were soft the motor should have lasted longer.

I have looked at a number of different blenders since my Philips Cucina Blender broke and although they are mostly considerably cheaper they have much more robust "cogs" underneath that drive the blades and none of them have the silly plastic arm underneath which makes the electrical connection.

It would be a great blender it they addressed these points.

I used the Philips blender twice a week to puree baby food.
Sadly mine broke after less than a year's usage.
