Authentic Greek food in beautiful taverna, the aubergines in tomato with feta was the best starter of the week! Local wine was one of the best and the house Chicken Paradisoko was amazing! Keftedes were also good.

The resort has many places to eat some better than others but generally very good. There is also the next town Alikes which is full of bars and restaurants. The hotels entertainment is provided by Thomson's and their reps, they do a fantastic job in keeping the children entertained my son loved all the activities provided during the day as well the evening entertainment. If you don't like noise around the pool go and use the quite pool, that's what it's there for.

Great holiday, hotel located right on the sandy beach. Shallow beach so safe for kids. We spent most of our time by the quiet pool with our 3 year old. The other pools were a bit noisy with the loud music during the day.

Entertainment staff were great, espcially boogie baz! Kids club reps were great and really good with the kids, even though our daughter didn't want to go in there.

Would definitely recommend this resort to those with kids.
Great restaurants to go to - Paradisoko ( or somet ...

Had a lovely holiday, but hotel bar very expensive for drinks (reasonable for food though). Not much to do for under 3's, although Creche facility was fantastic, with really caring staff, but that is only for 2 hours and costs 15 Euros per session. Best for kids aged 4-12??
Reps were enthusiastic, but could be annoying when they were trying to be DJ's. I had a bad fall, which I told them about and the rep said 'Oh dear. Did you want to do the quiz?' so not always helpful!!
    Lots of good tavernas ...

What a fabulous holiday we had at Alykanas Village - a week was not long enough - No one on this holiday had a bad word to say about the place. This place was spotless. We are definitely going back next year.

I went to Alykanas Village with my friend, we are both 18 year old females. We wanted to go somewhere that had plenty to offer us during the days as we are not major clubbers. We couldn't have asked for anything better as it was a family resort and extremely safe. Our apartment was very clean and modern, had everything we needed and every room has a view of either the beach or one of the 3 pools. The place itself was amazing as 4* hotel. The beach was gorgeous and sandy and directly centred in t ...

The Alykanas Village was wonderful and all the rooms had pool view. The best bar to drink in was the D&A bar, they made you really welcome and made sure you had fun. Another bar was the Iguanna Bar, really nice staff. The Greedy Greek restaurant - we had a wonderful time there. Saturday night was Greek night, we had a really fun time, our waiters were great and they gave me a bottle of wine on our last night really finished of our holiday!

Overall a great, relaxing and also a fun holiday - gr ...

I emailed directly to the hotel requesting, if possible, a sea facing view after looking at their website. This was given at no extra cost.
This has now given me a headache at finding a similar self catering hotel, right on the beach in a quiet resort for next years holidays.

We have just returned from a week at Alykanas beach village and had a great holiday. It is perfect if you like the beach, only a few steps down from the pool and you are on a lovely beach. The hotel was clean and has good facilities, the rooms are good, beds a little on the hard side but acceptable,
The resort has just the right amount of bars and taverns, not too noisy but not too quiet. WE liked the Poseidon restaurant, but also Greedy Greek although that one is a little more expensive.

Alykanas Village in Zakynthos is situated well. Out and about you can get good food. The people are friendly and the prices are reasonable. Go to Toms, Bonkers Bar, Greedy Greek and bar/internet cafe across from Bonkers, where we spent time sunbathing as we couldn't get round our resort. Visit Shipwreck and Turtle Trek, but book outside. It was absolutely fantastic! Ideal for young families, although not teenagers, and also Zante airport was horrendous.

Alykanas Village in Zakynthos is a lovely place for rest and relaxation, but one week is enough. Not much shopping, but of course the season was only starting. Some live music would be nice in the bars and in the hotel at night.

Just returned from Alykanas Village. A great hotel with all facilities you need. One minor issue. There is a snack bar but no restaurant in the evening so you do need to go into the villages of Alykanas or Alykes to eat. They are not far away and we prefer to do that anyway. The hotel has three pools and a lovely indoor pool which closes end May. It is also fronted by an excellent Beach and a warm clear sea which is very safe for children.
One issue to note if you have a baby. Although you may ...

Alykanas Village Put us off package holidays for life. You'll only like this if you like Travel Inns. Rooms are basic & noisy, the drinks are expensive and the kids club is appalling.

Right on beach. Very clean complex. Lovely pools. Excellent accommodation and facilities. Set in a quiet area. Alykanas Village are the best apartments in Greece that we have stayed in. Stayed in 2 bed apartment which was excellent. (microwave, toaster, kettle, air con, TV.) Some good restaurants in the area (Mantalena, Dionisios, Paradisiako) The most relaxing holiday we have had for a long while as the pool area and the beach are very good. Snack bar serves good food reasonably priced and mini ...

The Alykanas Village and the resort of Alykanas are ideal for families seeking a quiet relaxing stress free holiday. The beach is narrow but very safe for children. Alykanas has plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. We ate mostly in Medusa, Mantalena and Apollo (all good authentic Greek food.
