It is a great reel for coarse and the odd carp! I really like the Okuma Interceptor Reel its the best one ive used.

I am what could be described as the budget carp angler, I'm not on a wage still being in full time education but still enjoy my fishing. I originally had some Big Pit reels bought off a friend and they weren't very good. I then invested in some new Okuma Interceptor IBF50 reels. And I must say I was pleasantly surprised, with the amount of money spent on the reels I didn't expect them to be very good, I was wrong, these are the best reels I have found for the money. I bought an Okuma Interceptor reel about half a year ago replacing a small Redwolf float reel. The first thing I noticed was the smoothness of the reel and the brilliant bait runner system it was a pleasure to catch a good fish on this reel.
